Oxford Black N' Red, Journal, A5 Notebook Casebound, Lined & Numbered, 144 Page

The A5 Journal by Black 'n' Red is absolutely phenomenal. The build quality is fantastic, with a nice matt finish on the cover with the Black 'n' Red logo. Inside the journal provides a "This NoteBook belongs to..." and contact information section on the first page which is handy. The journal also provides a blank Contents page on the second page, which is useful for keeping track of things in the notebook. I personally find this extremely useful. The paper quality is fantastic and is a joy to write on even with the worst pen you can find, and the pages are lovely and white. Finally the notebook comes with a red elastic for holding the book closed, and an additional piece of string to use as a page indicator. All in all I would highly recommend this product, you won't be let down.

Superb quality notebooks. Lovely paper, well made and good value for money. As another reviewer mentioned, the "inspirational" quotes are a bit much and I think the product would be even better without that distraction, but other than that, can't fault them in any way.

Very smooth, high quality paper. I use several fountain pens, and there is only one (Lamy with italic nib and purple Waterman ink) that bleeds through. (The only paper I've found that takes this combination without bleed is the Rhodia brand.) Page numbering is very helpful. The stitched binding of the paper adds to the overall quality. Very nice notebook.

After listening to my partner moan and whine for almost 12 weeks about not being able to remember what jobs he's done, what stock he's used, what day of the week it is, what underwear are his lucky pants, how to peel an onion (I could go on forever) and so on and so forth. I decided to take action as self proclaimed HR of the household. I had two options: A) elope to the Bahamas and live out the rest of my life forever tanned and full of mojitos. B) buy him a notepad. Since I currently look like the love child of a pug and a potato I decided to leave my bikini in the 90s and go for 'plan B' He loved the simple design and feel of this notepad. It's small enough that he can keep It in his tool box and take it to clients houses without fuss and it looks very professional Best of all (and most importantly) he hasn't complained since. He records everything in it and goes back over his notes whenever he needs to without fuss. I may even purchase one for my university notes.

Using this book to write out comedy, could be used for a lot other things. Would help with business men with contact details at the front, area to store things with a pocket at the back. Paper is very nice to write on.

Very good paper! I have used Moleskins in the past, but when I moved to fountain pens I discovered that the paper in Moleskin notebooks bleed through quite severely. With this note book I have no such problems, rather the paper feels perfect for fountain pen use, even the Parker Sonnett which bleeds through a Moleskin in seconds.

Bought as daily journals for work scheduling and they are as good as it gets. You can get cheaper alternatives perhaps with some slightly different whistles or bells but for consistent quality and durability these are the go to choice for myself and have been for many years.

Gutes angenehmes A5 Notizbuch. Sieht schick aus. Alle Blätter sind beidseitig mit Füllfederhalter beschreibbar. Ich probierte verschiedene Federbreiten, Tintensorten und Füllerfabrikate aus. Das Papier nimmt Tinte willig auf und verläuft nicht. Auf der anderen Blattseite ist keine Tinte sichtbar. Der Tintenstrich ist gleichmäßig satt und der Kontrast zum weißen Paper hervorragend. Farbvarianten kommen in feinen Farbabstufungen wunderbar zur Geltung. Z.B. unterschiedliche Blau- oder Türkistöne kommen sehr gut raus auf dem hellen Papier. Vorne eine Seite fürs Inhaltsverzeichnis, OK, ist halt so. Seiten sind praktischerweiße durchnummeriert. Wenn ich ein Inhaltsverzeichnis mit Stichworten zur Seitenzahl mit einpflegen möchte, so beginne ich hinten im Buch mit erster Inhaltsverzeichnis-Seite bis sie voll ist. Dann ist nach vorne die zweitletzte Seite des Buchs dran mit Inhaltsangaben. Usw. nach vorne, bis das Buch von vorne natürlich nach hinten bis zum Inhaltsverzeichnis dann voll ist. Ist nur Gewohnheitssache. Linierung ist sehr zurückhaltend in grau. Rand ist ein gedachter Rand mittels unterbrochener Linierung. Die Idee ist genial. Der Rand ist stets auf der linken Seite des A5-Blatts. Für Kennzeichnung auf diesem Randstreifen stets links somit recht übersichtlich. Die hintere Falttasche für Zettelchen, Notizen oder paperdraw bzw repocketmod Minibriefchen oder Visitenkarten natürlich bestens geeignet. Man kann das dünne Buch recht flach aufschlagen. Es ist willig für den Schreiber. Nur manchmal könnte ich meinen, dass der leichte Geruch der Papierfabrik beim Riechen im Buch am Papier bemerkbar ist. Am Buchrücken war keine Hundertstel-Bindemaschine am Werk. Ist aber wegen des Blackdesigns nicht auffällig. Man hat in dem haptisch angenehmen samtigen und trotzdem stabilen Umband immerhin 142 vollwertig nutzbare Schreibseiten in der Hand. Das dünne Buch ist vorne und hinten mit todschickem Rot innen verkleidet. Das passende rote Gummiband ist straff und ich traue ihm Haltekraft zu, solange ich das Büchlein nutze. Das rote Gewebelesebändchen ist nicht nur Design, sondern natürlich sehr praktisch. Mit 12 Euro und beidseitiger Nutzung der Blätter ist dieses Notizbuch den Mitbewerbern wohl eine Nasenlänge voraus. Es ist ein universell gutes schickes Notizbuch. PS: Gummiband ist dauerhaft gut. Bei aufgeklapptem Notizbuch auf dem Tisch ist es unauffällig flach, =perfekt. Zeilenabstand ist 7 mm.

Beautiful notebook, colours of the black and red are exactly as on picture nice and crisp, love the paper they used, the pages right very nice.
