Helpful and easy to follow for newcomers to the sport
As an RYA dinghy instructor I know these RYA books are well written, have lots of diagrams and photos, and are easy to read. Therefore I purchased one as a gift for someone who has taken up the sport this year.

OK
This book is adequate, but you will learn far more if you also invest in a non-RYA book as complimentary reading.I recommend Windsurfing . If you read RYA Start Windsurfing, RYA Intermediate Windsurfing and the Peter Hart book you should be able to teach yourself.

Good addition to taking intermediate windsurfing lessons
This intermediate windsurfing training manual is from the official governing body of the sport, the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) and outlines the steps to progress your windsurfing from beginner to improver. Covering such intermediate windsurfing topics as the beach start, harness, faster tacks/gybes, stance and how to get the board planing this book is a good way to start to get familiar with the various modules. Also great as a source of reference for after you have taken intermediate windsurfing lessons.

One Star
Expensive with little content - beginner, intermediate and expert should be one book for the same price
