Probably the best tablet for around the £100 mark
This is an excellent tablet, if not one of the best for around the £100 mark. Its main purpose is for gaming and it does it very well and while the controller addon is big it does fit nicely in your hands very well and there is a built in app to map the buttons to work with any game and most modern games will recognise the wikipad controller so no setup is needed. It comes with stock android and not much bloatware which can easily be removed compared to other brands which makes a change. While the Tegra 3 chip is a few years old now dont let it put you off buying as its a very good quadcoare processor and graphics chip built in.Having 2gb ram and 16gb storage (12gb useable) helps things flow easily and plenty of storage for apps. You can expand on this also too by adding a micro sd card.I havent tried the hdmi connection yet but from other reviews online 1080p viewing on a big tv is a dream. The unit charges via micro usb and when plugged into the controller it has a micro usb connection so you dont have to unplug the controller to charge it too which is a good idea. The tablet speakers are not the loudest but are very clear but the controller has two speakers built in also which give it a bit more loudness. The screen feels very solid and feels as good as a gorilla glass style screen and the tablet build quality itself feels very solid and durable, the rubber feel on the back too will give extra protection against bumps etc.Ive got around 7-8 hours on a full charge which is good as i used intensively and it held well. Charging takes about 4 hours too which is good. The screen again is very clear and can be easily read still with the brightness on the lowest setting to save more power. My main reason for the purchase of the wikipad was that the Nvidia sheild portable screen was a bit on the small side and wanted something bigger and will work out of the box without buying any extra peripherals, this certainly fits the bill and i am very pleased with it, only positive things i can say about this product
