Great for My Needs
This case has a hygrometer, suspension, two bow holders, a tube for spare strings, an inside compartment, an outside pocket for music, a velcro strap for securing the neck, two detachable shoulder straps (and d-rings on the outside to clip them to), a velcro closure that goes over the outer zipper, and a blanket (that I keep forgetting to put back in the case). At first glance, the music pocket didn't look that big, and it doesn't run the entire length of the case, but I can actually fit my Suzuki book, my Wohlfhart etudes, and my scales book all in it quite comfortably. My file folder of sheet music is a little wider than those are, so it's more of a squeeze to get in, but I can make it.The reason I elaborate on the features is that the product description didn't mention the hygrometer, but one of the reviewers did. This was one of my credentials for a new case, and I liked the other features of this one, so I took a gamble and won. As someone else mentioned, the color is not exactly the pale grey-blue in the picture, but it is a lovely silvery grey that I am happy with. The case really is feather-weight. When I first got it, I could hardly believe that I had put my violin in it, it was so much lighter than my old case. Considering how much bigger this one is than my old one (I can fit my chin rest and my music in my case, now!), that's really saying something.I cannot speak to how well the case holds up in the long-term, as I have only had it a few weeks, but so far it has functioned beautifully, and I am very happy with it.The one disappointing thing about the case is that it is too big to fit into the Cushy Oblong Violin Case Cover. Even my dad couldn't get it in there, so I returned the cover. I haven't yet found something that will fit on the Featherweight, but I am hopeful, and in spite of that drawback, it's a pretty great case as far as I'm concerned.

Great choice for the price
I looked all over the internet for a case. This was the best one for the dollar. My director even said it was a good price. It's very lightweight, which is good and it seems protective enough for my needs. I did have the strap on the side that's attached to the lid rip away from the screw holding it. It doesn't affect the use of the case and I can fix it but it did happen within a week or two of use. I didn't see it as a reason to trade up for one over $100. I would maybe spend more if it was for my daughter and getting handled more roughly. The only real downside I have that made me consider trading up is that the large compartment still doesn't hold my Everest chin rest, although I have seen an Everest chin rest that "folds in". It fits, it's just very very snug and I have to really work to get it to fit. The compartment was a big reason why I wanted a new case. I didn't like my chin rest always being under my neck/pegs. I have to get my chin rest in just right or the foam of the rest gets dented/marred.The other downside was purely aesthetic. The image shows a nice blue inside, but the wording says gray. And the gray is an odd hue that looks more like a blue that has been severely sun faded. But, I can't justify buying a more expensive case for just inside appeal when what really matters is that my violin is protected. And this case does this.

Defective original; quick replacement
This seems to be a good basic lightweight case in theory; not sure I would trust it for everyday high use, but mine mostly stays at home these days, so I only need something basic. Unfortunately, the case I received was defective - the panel at the end of the case on the top (behind which you would slide the bows) was warped outward so that the case does not close when the violin is inside - the warped panel presses down on the neck of the violin, and I don't want to force it. As I slowly push the case closed, I can see the body of the violin see-sawing up as the panel pushes the neck down. I have contacted Amazon for a replacement, and hopefully they will come through.UPDATE: Replacement was shipped quickly and seems to close just fine.

Very good but for one thing
All in all, this is a very good case. The storage compartment is very big, the shoulder rest space hold my rest very well (The legs of the rest have to be folded down) and the zip-open sleeve can hold quite a bit of music in there. However, the bow-holders are not the best. The upper one works fine but the bottom can't fit the bow properly. The bow only fits if it is turned over so that it is resting more on the hair than on the stick. It is not really resting on the hair but since it does look that way and I don't really care for that. It s a great case by all other counts and I will keep using it for sure. I simply am overlooking the little bow-holder issue.

Great for kids, VERY light but still sturdy.
Purchased almost a year ago. We were buying a nice violin and weren't sure about buying a relatively cheap case to protect it, but this has been great. It's carried by a 7th grader, so not treated particularly gently, but it has held up well and it really is featherlight, the best part. She did manage to put a couple of snags in the outer fabric covering, but it has not affected the protective value. There is a humidity monitor inside as well, which is helpful in winter. Space for two bows, the outer zip pocket holds a regular size music book or sheet music, and the inner compartment is big enough for pencils and rosin and extra strings. The straps can be worn as a single shoulder strap or set up to be worn backpack-style.
