An original, modern blues album
I have many, many blues albums by artists that have tried to create that 'Chicago' sound or that 'Texas feel' but unfortunately nobody does that better than the original artists and my music listening always lead back to them. What makes Lee Sankey's album so strong and important is his ability to write music that has its roots in blues, jazz and funk but its delivered in a contempory way that communicates to a modern audience. Lee is a world class harmonica player but to think of him just as this does him a disservice. The musicality and lyrical content of this album is excellent and the production is as good as any British blues or jazz album of recent years. The packaging and graphics created for the album do a fantastic job of setting the music in context and help to tell the artist's story. This is definitely one of the most important blues albums to come out of the UK in recent years and if you get the chance to see Lee Sankey and his band in a rare live show don't hesitate you won't be disappointed.

This is music!
A long, long-awaited and exquisite follow-up to ‘My Day is Just Beginning’, this record shines with an evermore unpredictable collection of extraordinary treats. Uplifting, spine-tingling, soulful… it moves through sweet sentiments to cryptic twists, darker textures, unstoppable, mesmerising grooves and delicious blues harp. The horn melodies haunt and stir, the vocals intrigue. Overall, Lee has developed a soundscape akin to a full-on street symphony of roots, jazz and funk that will resonate with many. Sparkling sound quality complements true musicianship and compelling lyricism, wrapped in a beautiful, bleakly evocative booklet. The album just breathes creativity. In my book, it’s matchless. Where next…?

Ian Siegal lead Vocals!
Whilst I agree with the other reviews at the musical greatness of this offering, nobody has pointed out that much of this album's quality is due to the front of stage vocals, which is handled exquisitely by the now famous "IAN SIEGAL".Don't miss out on this FANTASTIC album!!! You will be sorry if you do, and at this LOW price Eh!
