It’s worth persevering
Update on my previous below review. Practice makes perfect. Leave it on the “transport tray” and freeze that as well. That way it doesn’t spill on transfer to the freezer. Freezer shelves will be easier than the drawers I have.==== original review:...I agree with johnm; the silicone is so soft that the base and lid separate as soon as you lift it. You can get as far as the freezer with it intact if it's on the flat "tray" but then you have to lift it from the tray and transfer it to the freezer drawer and that's when it literally starts to fall apart, water spills out into the drawer so it's unlikely you'll get whole balls. The funnel tip is bigger than the holes in the lid so not an asset.Having said that, I did have more success with my second attempt, resulting in 3/4 spheres. And they still look nicer than cubes. If you have a freezer with shelves, it should be easier not to lose water because you can probably slide them in there, rather than lift and negotiate the space in the drawer. My third batch is now in (I've saved the others in a freezer bag), but so much water spilt during the xfer, I'm not optimistic about this lot, but I'm going to persevere and see if I can master it; there are so many 4/5* ratings, I must be doing something wrong, so will re-read the instructions and leaflet thoroughly.

Excellent spherical ice molds, takes a little fine tuning to get them just jright.
The manufacturers are right about this product, it is lots of fun and the spheres themselves are a great talking point and novelty. Myself and my girl friend at first took turns to see who could make the better spheres, and these are our findings. Before listing my findings I have to say that we can both make almost perfectly clear, perfectly round ice spheres. To produce clear ice everything needs to be clear of comtaminents, this includes the silicone mold and the tap water you are going to use to make your ice spheres, so when the mold arrived I gave it a good wash in hot soapy water and rinsed it thoroughly. Next the water: If your are going to use tap water it needs to be boiled at least twice, with the first boil being allowed to cool down completely before the second boil, we them pour the water from the kettle whilst it is luke warm directly in to the mold. This producers almost perfectly clear ice spheres with a slight cobweb effect deep in the center of the sphere and no cracking.Filling the mold:Forget the tray, (only a flat sheet of plastic coated cardboard), and the plastic filling funnel. If you have adedicated ice cube compartment or Ice bank in your freezer, remove it, make sure it is on a flat surface, stand your silicone mold directly on this and fill the mold to just over halfway up the rectangular section, and carefully press the topdown, I them press gently round each sphere. A little water should spurt gently from each and every hole, them Carefully carry them to the freezer. The manufacturer say they are ready in 4-6 hours, Overnight works best more like 10-12 hours, this makes them far easier to handle and remove any ice that is not wanted. Good Luck.

Good price
Nice to have round ice cubes but thought they would be so much bigger

Not bad. Just not perfect.
This isn't the best ice mould available, but for the price, it's ok. It took a number of attempts to get right - water has a tendency to escape between where the 2 moulds meet as the silicone is not as sturdy as I'd like. The funnel provided is too large in diameter to fit into the holes, so a certain amount of effort is required to fill each mould with water. However, with due care and persistence, the end results are fine.

Good value product
Arrived promptly. Bit of a chemical smell but after a few washes in soapy water it was not noticeable. Easy to use and decent size ice cubes.
