Excellent Product
Short TLDR Review: This is a great flashlight! Buy it!Long Informative Review: At first, when I saw a supercapacitor crank flashlight for under $30, I was a bit skeptical. The closest flashlight I have to this one is a SL1 Lightstorm and that cost about 2-3 times as much as this item. And the illumination period of this flashlight is impressively long (most of my other supercapacitor flashlights last 20 min at most from full to empty). I was skeptical since I've taken apart other flashlights claiming to have supercapacitor storage, only to find those dinky little capacitors you get with those shake flashlights, and then a rechargeable battery being the main storage. You can usually tell if you have one of those by draining the flashlight dry (no more light), turning the switch off, and 10 min later turning it back on. A chemical-based rechargeable battery will relight the bulb (albeit dimly) where a supercapacitor will not relight the bulb at all until you recharge it. The grip of the crank on this flashlight is also easy on your hands so you won't get uncomfortable charging it. The only complaint I would give is that this flashlight came with no documents, so you don't know the specifications (Volts/Farads) of the flashlight without disassembling it. Other than that, get it! It is a dependable little flashlight at a great price for what's inside.

Reliable LED Flashlight
On your normal old school flashlights, you have batteries that eventually fail, incandescent bulbs that can also eventually fail and, on occasion, even the on/off switch can go bad. Not that this light is immune from those things but far less likely to happen. The electrical Dynamo was created in the early 1800s, the LED in 1962 so in sense it is old technology but still excellent in it's execution. The on/off switch is mult functional: Hard click on for full brightness, another click for economy setting and long run time, third click for flashing. Switch also responds to a micro touch for changing settings. I timed one economy setting run time at 40 minutes with 2 minutes of cranking! Capacitor storage is capable of putting your average batteries to shame for longevity. Highly recommended.

I ordered four flashlights. One seems to be defective. How can I exchange it for one that operates properly?I initially purchased four flashlights. One of which, in my opinion, was defective. When cranked it made a discernible grinding sound (that the others did not) and the beam was noticeably less bright than the other three flashlights I purchased. I contacted Amazon, received a return label authorization and returned the product to Kohls.Within several days, a replacement flashlight was delivered to me without charge. It operates perfectly. The process could not have been easier and I am totally satisfied with the service provided by YhuaM. Thank you to you both.

Best windup/capacitor/no batery flashlight I could find. Great product.
One reviewer wrote that it doesn't hold charge long. It uses a capacitor instead of a battery so it holds a charge much longer than batteries would without having to be replaced. The cranking needed for full light is very reasonable, and the product seems to be very well made. I'm here to order another and glad it's still available because I could not find it anywhere else.

Disappointed with its build. Toy like construction. Look elsewhere.
Thought I’d give this a try for my standby emergency kit since it doesn’t need a battery check every few months. It’s a compact LED flashlight. Not bright nor intense. Fair light. Large hand crank for you to charge the light. I’d tried shaking it to charge but failed to charge. This is not a great value light. If you find something cheaper go for it otherwise I’d pony up for a Pelican light.
