The Adventuresome Kitchen Recycled Wood Fiber Cutting Board with Juice Groove 17.5in X 11.5in X .25in

I have had this board for a couple of months now. At first, I had that odor that some were talking about. I contacted the company and wrote a review here and I got an instant reply. They informed me firstly that it is non-porous and a small number of purchasers who experienced the odors did have it go away after a few washes. It did go away after a few washes and I am happily chopping up stuff. It is supposed to score with good knives because it is not hard on knives. I have taken a Chinese cleaver to it a few times. Now, if anyone had handled Chinese cleavers, they would know that they make the knife that was used in the shower scene in a Hitchcock movie scary as flowers on Little House on the Prairie. So, I do treat this cutting board rough and I get to hang it up and out of the way in the end. Nice!

I will be purchasing this board based on the reviews and the description given by the manufacturer. If it slides more than I like I will go to the hardware store and purchase small rubber feet/pads and glue them to the bottom of the board. Using rubber cement will allow me to remove them or replace them easily and with out damage if that becomes necessary. There are a variety of these that will work and this is what I did for my heavy hardwood bread kneading board that has worked well for me. Just thought I'd give this a possible suggestion to those who didn't think of it.It is 1/11 and the cutting board arrived promptly a couple days ago. Yes, it is a slider, so I did add the rubber feet with barge cement. It doesn't move now and that's the only way that it makes sense as a cutting surface.Another possibility is adding some of those little silicon pads that are used for cushioning cupboard doors when closing them. They already have an adhesive. I do believe that the manufacturer should have anticipated this slipping/sliding feature in the quality control dept. before placing it on the market. One could be injured with a slip and a sharp knife. Otherwise I am exceptionally pleased with the board for all of the features that have already been named. It's all true! For my final rating I will give four stars and strongly suggest that the manufacturer/distributor provide, optional with and accompanying the board, in the same package, self adhering silicon feet/pads.

This is a wonderful chopping board! I think this will be my next Christmas gift for all my family and friends ;) The surface is so hard it barely gets scratched in it so it always feels like it comes really clean when washing it, unlike all my others that feel rough and get things stuck in the grooves. It doesn't stain either. Also, the sellers are very helpful and friendly. The only reason for giving 4 stars instead of five is because I thought the board had such a hard surface, based on the description and after seeing the product for the first time, that it would not allow any etchmarks to get embedded in it but then found out that it does allow scoring in order to protect the knives so, while that's good, I still wanted it to stay pretty for longer! Oh well. Still...great company, great invention, great product!

I had been uncomfortable with the wooden cutting boards we had been using for a long time. No matter how quickly I dried them eventually they developed a dark border that didn't look healthy. Also they seemed to develop a mushiness that was pretty unsightly. Plastic didn't feel right. So, I went looking for a mold resistant board suitable for someone who spends a lot of time in the kitchen. I'm always chopping, slicing ( ok, and dicing ) something, several times a day. I love this cutting board. It looks great and seems to be liquid resistant. It dries really easily, is lightweight and so far no nasty border. My knives actually seem to be retaining their sharpness too. I really like this kitchen tool.

I was not sure what to expect when ordered it other than it will not dullen my knives and that it is made in USA. I love it! IT is easy to clean, has the optional "feet" but won't use them. Will just use a towel under it but haven't needed to anyway. I love the way it makes the food look presentable. I am telling my family about this. I am a very very satisfied customer. And I will get many years of service from it. I just could not believe how much nicer it looked at home compared to the pictures. If you want a good board that is stylish, won't dullen your knives, versatile, easy to clean and store, get this one. Trust me, I tried the cheaper boards, too. I am willing to pay a bit more if I know that I am getting quality and a USA made product. This is the one for me. Thanks for offering this board on Amazon.

We've been using this cutting board pretty near daily for about 3 months and I will say it's the best of all the many different kinds we've had. As some reviews have mentioned, there is a noticeable 'wet wood smell" but only after the first few washes, and it did not at all effect the flavors of any of the things we've cut on it. Being that we use our cutting board on granite surfaces we did apply the 4 provided clear rubberized grips to the bottom corners and they work perfectly to keep the board from slipping. We rate it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the relatively narrow width. If the product comes out in a larger size, we will definitely purchase that as well.

I wish this board was bigger since you really can't chop a lot vegetables for dinner at the same time on it and it would be even better with a small ridge around the edge to keep drips from the counter. It does seem durable, yet still light weight and it's thin so it won't take up a lot of room to store.

Have had this board for about a year. If it goes into the dishwasher, beware that it needs to fully dry before you set it on the counter or it has the propensity to warp. Overall very satisfied with the performance and appearance, but it seemed kind of thin and the warping thing is annoying. Usually flipping it over solves the issue, it wiggles around if it's not flipped when warped.
