Hardcastle Semi Commercial Flat/Incline/Decline Weight Bench

Very good quality bench. I was very particular about what bench I bought. I have just bought this form my home gym. Having been used to the good heavy duty benches you get in public gyms I was cautious about buying something weak poor quality. This however is definitely not that. Good form supportive back and seat pads. Glossed white metal structure. Looks professional. Easy mehanism for inclining and declining back support and easy mechanism to move the seat tilt.The main thing I am pleased with though is the decent decline gradient on the bench. Declines just enough to hit the lower chest when benching etc. Some benches either don't decline or if they do you hardly notice the gradient.There is however one setback to this bench. Constructing it ! The instructions are aweful. I did read other people's ratings before buying and all day the same. The instructions are hard to follow and then bolts come in one bag so you have to work out which bolt is which. There are a lot ! The instruction guide has 2 pictures at the start which help a little but near the end the pictures just disappear and the words make no sense.Luckily I am quite patient and enjoy a challenge so managed to get it sorted in the end but other may struggle.Overall a goood quality heavy duty bench. Would definitely recommend it ! Decent price too.

Bought for my home gym, works great.Its literally the same thing as the Mirafit M2 bench in a different colour. The mirafit is cheaper too, but wasn't in stock.Easy to assemble, took about 30 mins doing it chilled.The seat adjustment is a little annoying as you need to fully unscrew a screw, adjust and tighten again. Not a massive deal but I'm struggling to find cons to this bench.There is a larger than usual gap between the seat and the rest of the bench when laid flat. For some I've spoken to this bothers them, for others its no big deal as there's usually an arch in your lower back when benching so it shouldn't matter much. A yoga block trimmed to fit would be an easy fix.It's easy to manoeuvre about, has soft, thick padding that appears to be hard wearing and will last.Overall I would recommend but I would opt for the Mirafit version as its exactly the same product for less.

The bench is sturdy and was straight forward to assemble after checking that all parts were present. The instructions state the size and amount of bolts and nuts that should be present but using a tape measure I found that the bolts were not the sizes stated. It helped that part of the bench was pre-assembled on arrrival using one of the nuts and bolts allowing me to figure out the sizes of the rest based in comparrison to one. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the stitching on the seat and backrest. Most benches stretch one piece of fabric over the padding and staple or stitch it to the back. Here they've used several pieces of material and stitched it together. Unfortunately the stitching is on the edges and through use and moving the backrest up and down the stitching starts to come loose. I've only had the bench two weeks and I already have several loose threads. I can see myself reupholstering the bench in about a year's time.

This is a study bench and absolutely fine for a garage gym but be careful indoors.Where the holes have been drilled, there is metal dust which will stain your carpets.I haven't fully assembled it yet, but one thing I can see, and have read in other comments, is that the bolts don't always fit. In my case, the bolts are too wide for the hole which will need to be drilled slightly, that is assuming I don't decide to return it.

Using this bench all the time it's a great addition to my home gym. Solid dont move,great for incline,shoulder press, flyes,pullovers. Love it.

First of all I have way more photo's but its just a joke. The product could be good but it turns up half rusting and bashed up, while if you do brave the build of the already mangled metal things don't fit and you have to hammer it away to make it go together. I have sent two of there products back already and received much the same. The worst part is they are obvious heavy bits of metal and repackaging then is impossible to a box which is chewed up. The product could be good but clearly there quality control and shipping is awful.

This is a great bench. Arrived quickly (despatched the day after I ordered it) and it was very well packaged. Individual parts were secured inside the box and all the fixings were individually packaged in marked bags. Took me about an hour to build it on my own. It's not commercial gym quality but you'd have to pay way, way more for that. If you are looking for a decline bench this one is about 30o from horizontal.

A seemingly sturdy chair- although I've nit used it for training yet. Unfortunately, the packaging inside the box was quite dirty.All the parts were present but you will need two adjustable wrenches to tighten everything properly. The instructions are clear enough.Certainly as good as any seat/bench I've seen in any commercial gym; but, at this price, it should be.I have had no issue with the seller- which is a relief considering some of the negative reviews of SDE online.
