This is a great value for the price. It's also insightful in a way that helps me to stay motivated and realize where I can make adjustments to my training. I am a middle-aged beginner/intermediate. It's easy to find specific advice in this book browsing through it. I also like the programs included.

Very well written
This book takes science proven principles and breaks them down into applicable tools that anyone can use. Although a lot of refreshers for me personally. It has valuable information for those looking to take a more serious approach to their training and health. If applied correctly you will see vast improvements.

Comprehensive Guide For Beginners
My book arrived in perfect shape and is really a gorgeous book. I feel bad for folks that got one with damaged.Anyway the content is very solid. Nothing earth shattering and honestly and if you follow Jeff and are somewhat up to date on the field you aren't going to learn much of anything new.Honestly my favorite chapters were the early chapters on habits and motivation. I feel like that is often overlooked aspect fitness that more folks need to hear.A lot of the later chapters are just hitting the high points on the topic which Jeff admits. Clearly, entire books have been written on a lot of the stuff that Jeff is only able to touch like hydration, sleep, supplements, squat technique, periodization etc...I'm torn on my rating as I think it might be the best book you could recommend to someone that was new to lifting but I don't think that is the audience and most beginners aren't going to be spending this much for a book.

Science-backed book by one of the best!
You know it’s a good book when all the poor reviews are only about the physical condition that it arrived in. For those who do receive a book in poor condition, it is not Jeff’s fault and you can exchange it through Amazon without leaving a poor review. My book arrived in perfect quality so I appreciate whoever handled it.As for the content of the book, it’s a great comprehensive guide for anyone who is just beginning or has been working out for a little while know and wants to really solidly their future path in the gym. The ladder analogy is simple but Jeff makes it work perfectly. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking to improve their fitness goals.
