70 Spools Variegated Embroidery Machine Thread

I spent the day a few days ago sorting my different embroidery threads by brands, weight, plain or variegated, polyester or cotton, etc. It was an enjoyable job as I love colors and it was exciting to see all he different combos of variegation threads that I have and will be good for so many ways to up the power of machine embroidery. There are many spools that would be wonderful for animal plets or coats, all sorts of greens for plants and of course, so many different flowers in so many colors. I have a dress that I need to repair the sleeves that has light orange, pink and salmon color and I wanted a thread that wouldn't stand out when the repair was done. As the fabric itself is in a way variegated, then using thread with those colors in it will make the thread not stand out at all. As I have some fabric with similar colors, I love knowing that I have several spools I can use to make machine embroidered flowers that match the fabric.I am very happy with this set of threads. It was a good value and I am happy to have it. I am looking forward to doing a lot of sewing using these threads.

First, let me state that I worked in the fashion industry for many years having graduated from Design school. In my experience, one of the key elements of a successful production run is the ability to get the job done quickly and cost effectively. Now that I am sewing just for pleasure, I still find myself seeking the ability to satisfy my 'cost effective' conditioning!Prior to purchasing this set I read all the reviews and was truthfully a little surprised by number of ratings.Performance under pressure: I wanted to provide a balanced review of this product so I threaded up both my embroidery machines - a Pfaff Creative Performance and a Brother PE-770. The thread works perfectly with normal breakages (all threads break even industrial ones). I ran the thread at about 1000 spm and at about 600 spm to see how it would perform. Everything was fine. Just remember to use your thread caps if you are running a Brother machine. The small cap tip inserts nicely into the small end of the cone to preventing the thread from tangling. Alternately multi-thread holders work perfectly as do cone holders or just leave the thread on the table(my preferred method)Regarding the spools. They are cheaper plastic but to me this was an advantage as I took a small pair of craft scissors and made my own notches at the bottom of the spools - where it suited me most to keep the thread from unraveling.Selection of colors: I use my threads to embroider garments and to do thread art for quilting. I happen to love the subtle shadings. It is true that Mother Nature can be stunning in her expressions and there are some very contrasting threads here for that.But it also contains lovely subtle colors that can beautifully reflect petals of a flower, leaves, water, shadow, tree bark and earth and the slight variations on colors for hair and fur on embroidered animals (I made a cute little mouse). I am completely satisfied with the color range and plan to use some of the more fun, starkly contrasting cones for lettering and children's wear (my kids love bright fun colors!)All in all a great purchase and bearing in mind that variegated embroidery threads run around $5 per spool at the fabric shop near my home this is a great bargain. I will definitely order again. The shipping was fast and the product is easy to recommend to fellow sewers

There are so many variations to choose from. I will have make time to practice with them all. Unlike one reviewer, my collection did not have a lot of white. Here is my list of colors as I see them. The thread is real nice thread but not all of it is variegated like it says in description.

Great selection and typical thread breaking , if you do any amount of embroidery you’re used to it.
