From the manufacturer Microsorum Pteropus - Java Fern Java Fem Mierosorum pteropus widespread in tropical asia. Java fem produces numerous leaves of different shapes and sizes. Comptetely undemanding and perfect for beginners. Java fern goes well when the rhizomes are anchored to rocks or bogwood or coconut matting. Microsorum Pteropus spores Microsorum Pteropus is a prehistoric plant and it reproduces using spores on the leaves. These are often mistaken for snail eggs but infact are new plants developing on the leaves. As the plants develop leaves they will drop away from the mother plant and settle in the tank and attempt to grow. Single Plant The plants can vary in leaves but we always provide atleast 2 leaves per section. Multiple Microsorum Pteropus Placing mulitple plants or sections into your tank in one area creates a instant impact and also will develop much faster than seperating each plant out. Attached to Bogwood Microsorum Pteropus develops with its roots out of substrate and not buried. It is best attached to objects in your tanks like bogwood, lava rock or coconuts.

Had been wrapped in a bag, but look to have a slight dampness to keep them going. Most already had a root system, some even look to be sprouting new growth already. Put about 1/3 of the bag on a piece of slate with gel version of super glue ( don't use the normal one) for the in tank photo

However, after placing it in my aquarium it quickly started recovering and is already producing new roots. It may need some time to adapt, but it seems healthy enough to bounce back. **Q: would these plants do well placed in a cold water tank**
A: Hi - The java fern do grow well in a cold water tank also if the nutrients needed is provided.

**Q: Will the leaves have any black or dead parts on? I really need a java fern that has a good healthy asthetic look.**
A: Got mine today all leaves very healthy and no dead or wilting parts at all

**Q: Can these be washed with hydrogen peroxide?**
A: We would recommend the following soak-  Bicarbonate of Soda Solution 
1 Tablespoon of Bicarb to 1 Litre of Water
The plants need to be soaked for a MINIMUM of 24 hours under strong lighting (if available) as this helps to remove the chemical from the product more thoroughly.

**Q: Are these suitable for growing on bogwood if suitable fixed to the wood?**
A: Yes, the Javier fern is ideal for attaching to big wood

Not bought plant from Amazon, with prime next day before, but was rather impressed. Plants look good quality, look green and healthy. Had been wrapped in a bag, but look to have a slight dampness to keep them going. Most already had a root system, some even look to be sprouting new growth already. Put about 1/3 of the bag on a piece of slate with gel version of super glue ( don't use the normal one) for the in tank photo
