If I Must Die (Des souvenirs et des hommes)

Although the translation wasn’t perfect this book was an excellent read on a subject of forgotten heroes who have been overshadowed by events two years later and the dramatic failure of this operation and its adverse affect on the resistance groups involved. Three of those lost are buried in the nearby church at St Laurent and this book brings to life these varied individuals.

Good read.

A superb book, very well researched. It tells the little known story of a significant commando raid and its aftermath. Well worth a read.

A great book! Well researched over many years. It is surprising that a film has not been made about this fine band of men.
