I've purchased so many different frames over the years, and I must say that these frames are well made, especially considering the price point of 3 frames for $20. The frames are packaged well enough to protect them from corner and scuff damage using styrofoam corners and shrinkwrap around all 3 frames. I was a bit surprised by the charcoal frame. It is charcoal color, but also has a faux wood texture. The frame is made of plastic (and you can see this on the inside of the framing--shiny black), so it looks like the frame was sanded and/or painted to add the texture. If I had to guess, I think this follows the modern trend, instead of black, going of off-black and with wood texture. If you're looking for solid shiny charcoal grey, you'll want to look elsewhere. The clips on the back that hold the backing board in place are an improvement over past clips. These clips can be pressed down and rotated out from the frame's edge almost effortlessly and save wear and tear on your fingers and thumbs. This is a nice improvement. The clips also have a slight tooth at the end that helps hold it into place when released under the frame. The frame comes with a mat that allows for an 11"x14" print, but I personally don't like mats that have uneven margins, so I just tossed mine and used the full 12"x16" space for a print the same size. The backing board also has two mounted brackets that give you the option for portrait or landscape hanging. Just hammer a nail into the wall and hang. The plexiglass is pretty thin, maybe a millimeter (less than 1/16"), but thankfully has plastic sheeting to protect BOTH sides from scuffs during the manufacturing & packaging process. Just peel away the sheeting on both sides before using. Personally I like to lay the print and backing board face down on the plexiglass right after removing the sheeting to avoid any static dust from clinging to the plexiglass. Then flip the plexiglass & your print over to remove the sheeting from the other side before laying the frame on top. Then turn everything over and rotate the clips into place and you're done. Plexiglass is the way to go for such frames, especially when shipped, but the only problem with it is that it scuffs easily when cleaning, so you'll want to be gentle and careful when removing any fingerprints or dust. Just about any cloth rubbed against plexiglass (even microfiber or silk) will leave faint scuffs and scratches. This can't be helped, it's just the nature of the material, as opposed to glass.Overall, if you're looking for an affordable frame that's made well and easy to install, this is a good product.

I love these frames! Great price! Comes really packaged well in plastic and each frame glass(plastic) has a protector film on both sides to peel off so they look perfect! And the hooks are the twist kind, I hate the ones you have to bend with a coin. Great value!

Love the charcoal color of these frames that I put my diamond art into! They are reasonably priced but very expensive looking hanging on my walls!

Needed kind of odd sized frames for 11x14 images. These look great and the mat is perfect. Sets off the images nicely

The frames look great on my wall. They aren't the highest quality but the do the job. I do recommend that you let them air out a bit before using them. I put them up in my office on a Friday, and the smell of the stain had hit me pretty strong on Monday morning. It dissipated after a couple weeks.
