Will it k1 p1 yfw k1** A: You cannot automatically do purl stitches within otherwise knit stitches. You mention yfw. Is this a lace pattern ? Then you are in luck. Machine knitted lace is the best and most easiest pattern to do. All you need to do is transfer a stitch left or right. This will leave needles without a stitch on them, but you leave this needles in working position B. Then it is just a matter of working two rows. So lace is transfer stitches row with all needles still in B, then knit two rows.
