The speakers are a little odd in that they contain a fake port and tweeter but the sound quality is actually very good from the single cone in each unit. It's probably somewhat 'coloured', but definitely pleasant. Headphones 'out' sounds good too. The sub is small enough to be tucked away (under the desk in my case) but large enough to give the required low-end grunt and blends very well with the satellites. it even provides treble and bass adjustment on its very well considered 'control panel'. The volume knob feels quite nice and heavy and could only really be improved by making it push-on, push-off rather than having to turn it down to zero each time to turn the unit off. It's no great powerhouse but as the sound system for a desktop computer it performs very well. Tried it a little later and there was no bass at all.Positives:Decent quality sound (while it lasted)Very nice wired remote with input/HP jack & on/off switch. Not hard-wired to sub so easy to install on desk.Bass control on sub was effective. Set to minimum, it was perfect for night-time listening.
