A good beginners book to learn the fingering although if you can read music you may find it wanting in tunes.

I purchased this book & my sax 2 weeks ago & I was told it would be a long & slow climb up a hill to play the sax, but i've come on leaps and bounds with a huge thanks to this book!If you get this book then "CONGRATULATIONS!" you have made the right choice! This book has easy to follow instructions and makes learning the sax easy & fun with a mixture of easy and slightly more challenging tunes to play, it also has a CD which you can play along to, which has backing music with or without a sax playing, you just adjust you speaker balance. Which is a good idea as when you don't know the song you can listen to how it should be played and then you can play with just the music!I think this will be the 2nd best investment for anyone wanting to learn the sax, the 1st most important thing being the sax (of course!)
