Nice keychain
I got this for my daughter who is into all things Therian. She really likes it and has it on her backpack. We found the cats like it to as they are always playing with it on her backpack. It is as described so I give it 4 stars.

Cute & Unique with a Touch of Strange...🤪
My significant was mixed on this little gift. I assured her that according to the description, this tail was humane. I haven't looked to see if this has the same "good luck" qualities as a rabbit's foot, but it looks nice hanging off her larger-sized leather purse. (Yes, I pointed out that she had no problem with a leather purse, but questioned a Lynx tail.🧐 I almost had to sleep on the couch, as she didn't see any humor in my question.🤣)🐻 *Statement/Disclaimer: This review is part of Amazon's Vine Program which provides products at a reduced cost in exchange for sincere/frank reviews. Sketchy description, and NOT what you want to give your pets as a toy
There's a bit to unpack with this seemingly innocuous keychain.First, the description claims it is 'great for kids and animal dress-up', and that it 'can also be used with costumes, props, fashion and for you renaissance folk'. Fair enough, it is. Folks have been doing this since the dawn of history when fur was survival's sake and for spiritual usage. It's a very basic, effective description. The size listing is accurate, *including the hardware*. The tail itself is about 3" because lynx simply have stubby tails.Secondly- The description says of the materials: "Fur, feed on farm, NOT WILD". Okay, I'd love to know more about what I'm buying. Is this cast-offs from the garment industry where tails are discarded, *after* being farmed for their fur?"Not wild" - this is poorly phrased. Yes, Eurasian and Canadian lynx ARE wild cats, and not domesticated. You are buying a lynx tail- ie, a tail from a wild lynx that happens to have been unnaturally born/raised/killed on a farm, or worse, captured and killed on a farm somewhere. Living on a farm does not make them "not wild".DISCLAIMER BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T- Real fur should never be used as a pet toy. The hairs can cause choking hazards, are super-fragile and can cause intestinal blockages. This is a BAD suggestion. It really should not have been written in the description, especially because tanning chemicals are not for ingestion by humans nor pets! That said, I'm an artist and enjoy taxidermy work. Having this tail gives me a better understanding of what pigments to use when painting lynx, as well as how their fur tracts, ticks, where the undercoat starts/its texture/where the undercoat stops/color gradations/etc.You receive the tail in a plastic, clear cellophane bag with a glue-seal on it and a simple manufacturing label. The keychain is gold-tone, and the fur is very soft. If you needed an approximation, it's a slight bit less wiry than a fox's but thicker. It has a mildly crimped wooly undercoat that keeps lynx warm and the outer coat is slightly softer than that of fox. It's a really nice tail.I do not recommend pulling the tail from the base of the keychain as this can cause the skin-side leather to pull/stretch/tear. The tail has been split, so it is flexible, with no bone-in. I appreciate this as it also means the tail has been properly tanned.I am personally inclined to believe these are garment cast-off tails from a farmed source. If you are okay with the ethics behind fur farming, this is a piece you will appreciate. If you're not, you may want to pass on it. I've taken a star off for the danger to pets, and a star off for the sketchy description. We will see how long it lasts in the keychain base.
