Lucy Ryder Richardson really knows what she talking about in this superbly written and researched book. I am sure it will become an essential reference book, full of valuable and useful information.Being a Anglo Danish designer it's great to see so many Danish chairs in the top 100!

Bought for my sister's 60th birthday- brilliant book.

I purchased this book directly from Lucy at one of the Midcentury Modern shows she Co-Organises. A great resource and a wonderful read.You'll go through the first time and just look at the great pictures of some of the finest chairs ever made, and then you'll read it and discover the stories behind the designs from some of the best designers.

There are a number of resources on this subject but this is a good starting place to garner knowledge in bite sized chunks.

Great book but unfortunately received in very bad condition. Sent back our first order for damage, but the second order was also in the same poor condition.

If you love mid-century modern, you must have this book. Of course, it doesn't have EVERY chair by EVERY designer from the period, but it has a good number and some of the coolest ones. I have three chairs that are featured in the book, and I love having the book to "legitimize" my purchases. It also tells the backstory for each chair. Great reference book or coffee table book.

This is a classic! I really like the content of the book. However, it does not look good enough to use as a coffee table book which I was hoping to do as the edges were torn up when I received the book.

This is a great coffee table book with lots of fun facts.

I bought this for my dad, whom has a MCM infatuation, for Christmas. This book was so fun for us to look through! It has since come in handy a couple of times for identification purposes, and has helped us to recognize chairs when thrifting. So much fun!

Nice history of important mid century chairs with some nice back stories.
