A Quality Product
I have used various different models and designs of food thermometer, and yet I always return to this style. I have only used it a couple of times, but have already found that the illumination can be helpful saving the need to remove food from the oven.I would like to add a postscript to my original review.Unfortunately the item had a fault. I contacted the seller who replied within 30 mins and had a replacement with me, free of charge, within 48 hours even though it was a bank holiday weekend. I would say it is probably one of the best levels of customer service that I have recieved. Thank you.

Hot Or Cold?
Picked up this thermometer the other day.First impressions, well packaged, nice box.Has a great table on the back to tell you what the main food types should be cooked too.Inside it also comes with a spare battery and a battery already inside the thermometer itself (very handy and means I can use it straight away).The thermometer itself...Has an easy 3 button option (on/off, hold and a nice back light function so you can see the screen clearly too).The probe is retractable for easy storage and comes out smoothly.While using the thermometer...It is very quick to increase in temperature and doesn't take long at all to give an accurate reading that it stays at.Cooling down it slightly different (the probe itself stays warm for a while) but within a few minutes like most thermometers it soon cools down back to normal room temperature.If your after a reliable, accurate food thermometer then I would highly recommend this one :)VeryRandomReviews.com

Great features
It does take a few seconds to stabilise at the actual temperature but all the food thermometers are the same in this respect. The backlit display is useful for me as my eyes aren't good. I love that I can stick it on the fridge so it's always available.

Not sure how accurate it is.
Couldn't figure out how to change the temperature to Celsius. Battery ran out quickly but they do provide a spare one. Not too sure how accurate it is as I couldn't get a stable reading and although it showed a lower temperature my Xmas turkey was overcooked.

Yes, arrived quickly, easy to use.Choose this model as it comes with a fitted battery and a spare battery. Also because it's magnetic and back-lit.It is now stuck to our fridge door ready to use on an unsuspecting chicken!
