Five Minute Sketching: People: Super-quick techniques for amazing drawing

I'm a beginner and I was looking for a book that will explain the basics in a way that is easy to understand and remember. I'm well pleased with this purchase.

Excellent variety of styles and how to achieve them, enjoyable ro read and learned a lot.

This is a brilliant book! It shows you how to draw people using head measurements and has easy to follow instructions with simple drawings. It also covers several useful techniques like perspective and drawing groups of people looking at negative shapes. I borrowed it in a drawing class and several people have since bought it too.

Great book with loads of tips. Not really an instructional book and no step by step sections.

My wife was very pleased to receive this practical guide book which is easy to follow and provides useful tips.

Arrived safely and on time exactly as described - excellent purchase.

Super interessant, einfaches Englisch...Aber entweder für Leute die schon einigermaßen Menschen zeichnen können oder viel Geduld haben mit den tollen Ratschlägen viel zu üben!Aber trotzdem empfehlenswert da es sehr ausführliche Informationen zu allen Sparten der figürlichen Skizze gibt und das kurz gefasst auf je eine Doppelseite (2 Seiten auch zusätzlich mit Bilder die gut darstellen was gemeint ist ).

Le livre contient beaucoup d'exemples et d'astuces pour améliorer ses techniques de croquis. Les commentaires sont clairs et tous les styles ou presque sont représentés.Un livre très agréable.

Demasiado te to y muy poco enfocado a la práctica. Es decir se pasa todo el libro diciendo cosas que de lògica ya salen. Se echa en falta algo más enfocado a la práctica o espontaneidad de este arte.

There is more text than useful for a drawing-book.I don't find it particularly useful. Anecdotal information, at best. Superficial, at worst.Also, I find it very irritating that each drawing is annotated with the "artist", as if the point of the book is to exhibit the artists whereas you'd expect the drawings to illustrate the point that the author (Pete Scully) is trying to make. (Instead, all artists could be duly mentioned in a separate section in the back of the book)....and I don't know if I should feel thankful to Angela (Pete's wife) for her patience... she should be invited to write a chapter indicating how she musters to develop so much patience for a guy writing such a low-level book.

Correspond tout à fait à mon attente car il est très pédagogique et la progression est très logique et complète.
