Very happy
I am really happy with it. I have bad hands and I was able to grate half a block of cheese without my hand on fire. It's sturdy so my husband has less of a chance of breaking it. It's been a well worth purchase!

Sturdy and Useful
I bought this for my daughter, and she loves it. When I first started looking at this type of grater, I noticed that many other brands had complaints that food got stuck in the small gap between the rubbery ring at the bottom and the grater, and the ring was not removable. I specifically bought this grater because it *was* removable. My daughter has been using it since Christmas and has had no problems. She says she removes the bottom rubbery thing when washing it and nothing stuck in it. I plan to order one for myself since she likes it so much, and I also need a box grater.

You only pay for quality once
I purchased it as a gift for a friend. The feedback I have gotten so far is that it is quality. No flexing in the wrong places, should last for many years. This is not the grater for the accident prone. It is tough enough to remove the tips of finger as well as to grate tough vegetables.

What is up with the rubber edge?
I see why you would want a piece of rubber around the bottom but the problem is food gets stuck in-between. I solved the issue by taking it off to wash it and just did not put it back on. Indeed sturdy, handle is okay but might be too big for someone with small hands.

Great grater and even greater customer service!
I originally gave this three stars because the rubber bottom was quite loose. The seller contacted me immediately and sent a replacement grater. The new one is awesome! I'm making a cheese and broccoli soup this weekend, so I can't wait to use it for shredding the carrots and cheese.Very good grater and outstanding customer service!!!

Great customer service from the Asian Slice
Purchased the product in May. one of the sopt welds came loose from the one side of the handle in Sept. The Asian slice replaced the unit. GREAT customer service.

Perfect box grater!
This is a very well made grater. I been thru atleast 10 of varying sizes and price points. None have held up, until now. I know this will last, and the size is perfect. It grates thru anything with ease. There was a minor issue with an attachment point where the handle is, I emailed the seller and literally had a replacement the next day. The customer service is as amazing as the grater. I've never (ever) written a review before - but this product & seller deserved one.

Great grater!
Great grater!. Has a rubber ring on the bottom to help it stay and the ring is easy to remove and clean. Very sharp. I think this one will be in service for sometime. Best built grater I have ever seen in a store.

I loved my Grandmother's grater. You know the one. Heavy duty, very sharp grating edges, and it was always carefully washed and dried. This is the new "Grandmother's grater". It is very sturdy but not heavy. It grates cheese, onions, and carrots with ease. The round handle rocks the house. It comes in a very sturdy box that shipped well. Best cheese grater I've ever used
Thick sheet metal, does not bend or warp if you push very hard down on it; also the cutting holes are very sharp.

Highly Recommend!
Received the grater last week and used for the first time last night. Worked great! The handle on my Kitchenaid box grater broke off after 10yrs of use. This one seems better built and I expect it to last longer. We'll see!

High quality grater
This grater is definitely a quality item, especially when compared to the one I had been using for many years. The large handle is comfortable for holding while grating, and the rubber base gives it sturdy footing while grating. The grating surfaces are quite sharp (as one would expect) so be careful. Excellent product!
