Sharam's Dubai was brilliant, and one of the GU highlights to date. I was expecting similar from Dubfire, and these mixes do not disappoint. CD1 seems to be liked by most, and I agree, it's well mixed, the tracks are superb, and well paced, and it closes in real style. Dubfire's own tune - "I feel speed" - is the notable high point for me.Inexplicably, CD2 is getting panned, yet for me, it's the better of the two mixes. There's no messing around at the beginning - the Nitzer Ebb remix is awesomely dark and powerful and sets the tone for the rest of the mix, which doesn't let up. The Noir and Robbie Riviera tracks work well, and "Die Rumpelkammer" is a class tune and nicely paves the way for the DM remix. Thereafter it's a brilliantly deep finale to one of the best GU mixes they've ever released. In summary, this mix makes me smile and makes me want to go clubbing, largely because it doesn't step out of it's remit. In short, this is classy dance music through and through.Disc: 21. After the Deep Dish split-up Sharam went for a house-trip while Dubfire went the (minimal) techno. They both made great GU-mixes. Depeche Mode's "Everything Counts" is the highlight of the mix

Below par for the GU series by a considerable margin - seems that the record companies only send their really good stuff to the likes of Sasha, Digweed and Seaman, and throw their rubbish at this guy. C'mon just kidding - presumably he has exposure to just the same material as everybody else but prefers the rubbish end of the market. There's a theory that these guest DJs don't even mix the CDs - it's done by kids racking up mix tapes to impress their girlfriends.

I love Dubfire and Deep Dish and their ability to remix and produce some of the greatest dance classics in the world. I was pretty sure that when I bought this I would be 110% IN! Now, with this compilation Dub Fire has injected his complex and thought provoking deeper tune and produced a firey deep dubby timeless mix and it's just beautifully colourful sounding. The moods of the track choices take you on underground journey starting quite bouncy and atmospheric to getting harder as the twisted-ness progresses. It's a journey mix which makes me want to go out and dance all night in a dark space somewhere. Seamless and stylish in my opinion. I own 1000's of house mixes including most of the GU stuff and all types of house ans this is one that I will go back to time and time again. Has to be in my top 5 mix house albums. If you like it deep, dubby, a little dirty not to mention slightly twisted then go grab it.

This is one of the best mixes I own - and it's a great one to return to time and again.Disc 1 is more housey but still pretty driving and always maintaining a great groove.Disc 2 is fantastically dark, solidly progressive and pretty tough in parts - this seems not to be so popular with some of the other reviewers but for me I'd take Disc 2 over Disc 1 any day (and Disc 1 is up there).In my view this is a better collection than either of the GU deep dish mixes - which are very good if a little light. This one doesn't pull many punches. Highly recommended.

Another quality release from Global Underground! Now comes part 2 of the deep dish partnership. First was Sharam's mix, now comes Dubfire's turn. If a had to choose a winner, i think Dubfire's just edges it.Dubfire's mix contains some outstanding tracks inc BarBQ, And If, Booka Shade, Samuel L Session and even Dubfire's own excellent 'I Feel Speed'.A great addition to an already amazing Global Underground series.

My husband bought the Debfire Taipei and we listened to both of them during a long journey.They didnt disappoint. Basically both cd's are extremely catchy with tunes that will resonate for days.Track 7 on disc one is simply my favorite : In White Rooms - Booka Shade followed swiftly by Hustler - Simian Mobile Disco - are both atmospheric, seductive and edgy.Its easy to play these particular tunes over and over again as each time you hear something different and wonderful. Not only does the cd take the listener on a journey - its a damn good one and memorable to boot. It will keep you coming back for more.
