It’s by no means a professional set (add several hundred pounds for that) and the old adage you get what you pay for rings true. That said it’s a sturdy set perfectly adequate for a fun family game, just don’t be expecting professional grade gear. The mallets aren’t full size for example but are well made and finished in nice wood.I knocked a star off for the bag, the bag itself is fine decent quality with pockets and slots for the equipment, the rule book is a very useful reference. However it’s only a 4 player bag, the additional two mallets and balls are just loose in the bag which isn’t great.

Purchased for garden use, personal pleasure. Excellent quality, sturdy, attractive well presented. Am delighted, if we had been professional players we would have recommended for this purpose also.

An excellent set with the Jacques quality that you expect. I think this is a brilliant set for the family as the mallets are light and sturdy enough for young children to use and allow competitive parents to play too! A fantastic case with sturdy balls and a solid finish post. An excellent wedding present and gift that you will keep.

Perfect to get the family out of the house. We're officially the worst croquette players in the world, but have had a marvelous time using this set.

I know very little about croquet, but it appears a good quality set, together with a robust bag for storage. Perfect and great fun for our Summer BBQ, and I’m sure that it will get a lot more use. My only criticism is that the instructions didn’t say how the hoops should ideally be positioned in the garden.

hoops are flimsy, mallets are short, red ball split within 15 minutes of playing first game. Very disappointing product from a firm as reputable - and a bystander for quality - as Jaques of London. Did think the price was a bit on the low side.... :(

very nice croquet set bought as present for husband - he is really pleased with it. initially some of the mallets came apart after one or two uses but we were sent replacements very quickly which have been absolutely fine. good quality, well priced and I am sure we'll have years of good games with it.
