Delicious raw honey
I've been buying Hilltop Honey for a while in the smaller jars, but go though it so quickly that this seemed better value. Why raw local-ish (British wild flowers are pretty much local wherever you live in Britain) honey? Raw honey contains live enzymes, probiotics and various other micro nutrients, including pollen. For those with hay fever and related allergies, eating local raw honey can help reduce the symptoms and may make them disappear altogether! In theory, raw honey is antibiotic, although I haven't tried it for that. It does help my joints, mixed with raw cider vinegar and warm (not hot!) water, though.Basically raw honey is a health food - I use it as an ingredient in raw treats and salad dressing (honey and mustard dressing - yum!).As a sweetener in cooked food, it's a waste of time - all the micro nutrients are destroyed by heating. Eat it raw for the full benefits. In the north, where I live, this honey is set at room temperature, but still spreadable - and it tastes great!

Certainly an acquired taste!
My first time trying this particular honey, and wow, it's certainly an acquired taste! It tastes very rapeseed-ish, much like buckwheat blossom honey does. Pungent smell, super robust, flowery taste. I happen to love it, but it may be too intense for some people. It's honey, yes, but nothing like the regular sort (clover honey), and unlike clover honey it doesn't go with everything you put it on or mix it into. Recommended ONLY if you like your honey piquant!

The Best
This is the only honey that I eat. Simply because it is the best. Very speedy delivery, great taste, consistent quality. Why would I change.

Nearly there...
I bought this as I felt that the Zambian honey I had been buying was too variable in quality. Clean, clear runny honey, far less strong than the Zambian, though I had grown accustomed to that. A smaller tub, for more money, needs to do more work to impress me. The pack had leaked, and I'm not convinced of its value for money, though the honey itself is fragrant and pleasant. Because it is less intense, it is tempting to ask why this over the bog standard Rowse blended offering?

Scottish Heather
My order came earlier than estimated, which was a nice surprise. The honey is very high quality and definitely has a strong Scottish Heather flavour. It's rich and delicious.

A delightful delicacy
I love this product! It tastes heavenly. I've used it in a recipe for honey mustard chicken and occasionally will eat a small spoonful as a healthy treat. It's a treasure that I will use sparingly. It makes me appreciate the bees even more!

Great tasting piece of Scotland
We bought this to put into a Scottish Cranachan recipe for my son's Geography fair. It definitely had a different taste than our clover honey and was a great addition to our dish.

Honey disappointing
The high altitude air travel is cold so the honey crystallized. It was NOT solved by warming the honey. Therefore it was unsatisfactory.
