Absolutely brilliant! I have ME/CFS and I am very weak with little strength in my hands and I get exhausted very quickly.. I assembled the cleaner on a table. Very easy and straight forward to do. The actually cleaning box is much smaller than my ancient second hand Bissell cleaner which still works very well (and better than a vac too) and is very light even with the handle attached. It cleans like a dream, much much better than my vac. I alternated one hand to another to distribute the strain on my hand, wrist and arm that one experiences with repetitive actions and it was SO easy and light to push. I cleaned my two bed bungalow within about 10 mins! I could never do that with my vac. It did not tire me out at all. It picked up EVERYTHING. No bending to pick up bits like I do with my vac. This cleaner will replace my vac for regular use. It slides under chairs easily. Because it is so light there is no exertion or strain in lifting the cleaner to empty, which is straight forward and easy. Even my smaller 'light' vac can be quite tiring to empty and fiddly too and it never picks up stuff very well. This is fantastic value for money and a great cleaner. It is a joy to use. Also there is no noise which is a bonus too. You don't have to worry about disturbing the neighbours. All of my carpets are over 18 years old. Not thick pile which is only fair to mention. This light cleaner now enables me to sweep my carpets more regularly which can only be a good thing and it cheers my spirits not seeling 'loads of bits' on the carpet which the vac has not picked up and which I am unable to pick up due to exhaustion. 10/10 Bissell

Solid construction, and does the job well – 5 StarsI’ve owned my ‘Sturdy Sweep’ for more than six months now, and use it at least three times every week. Here’s why it gets the maximum 5 Star rating from me:Design – Nothing fancy, but it’s a sturdy design and has proved robust to the odd knock.Function – It performs better than my vacuum cleaner at picking-up small particles, and hair. (Neither is perfect at picking-up longer hair, but the Sturdy Sweep performs the better of the two.) I regularly use it on carpet, rugs, and cushioned flooring, all with good results.Easy to use – It’s light, quick and hassle free to empty, and the handle will ‘lock’ in an upright position for storage.Robust – After more than six months of regular use, this performs the same as when it was brand new.Manoeuvrability – Compared with a vacuum cleaner, it doesn’t reach under low-level furniture as well, and isn’t suitable for stairs. However, it’s very light so getting the Sturdy Sweep up and down the stairs in my town house is a breeze. It's also always ready-to-go in a jiffy.…and a hint – I find that this carpet sweeper works best if I empty it after every use. It takes seconds to do, and ensures it performs at its best every time.Overall: This carpet sweeper has proved itself well over the past six months – I’m delighted with it.

I only didn't give 5*because the threads in the handle that you screw together are rather fine and on one join I couldn't completly screw it right up together. I did use a tiny bit of washing up liquid to help lubricate the thread and it didn't take long but it was dry and fine to screw together. However the sweeper itself, length of handle, emptying ease (V easy push) , and what it swept up was all 5*, I had hoovered with an electric about 5 days before. It is tricky using a noisy hoover when people work nights. My carpet looked OK but I have 2cats so I wondered what a few mins trying it out would pick up. I was really impressed, small bits of cat litter, fluff I couldn't see, hard floor in the kitchen bits, all gone. For the price and for saying this isn't sucking, just sweeping it's very impressive. Far easier than a dust pan and brush or those rechargeable hand held mini hoovers. It stands up on its own as well. Smaller than I expected but that was good because I only want to nip around my little house and easily take it upstairs. Photo shows sweeper next to a size 7 shoe for size

I'm now on my 2nd sturdy sweep, only because after 2yrs the brush isn't working well at all, and they don't do replacement brush roller for this one. I've just left a review on the Bissell Easy Sweep Compact. It doesn't work well on any hard floor at all, and leaves streaks of dirt sometimes on your carpet, so twice the chore. The natural sweep version, useless and sent back. If you want a really good carpet sweeper, then this is the one to go for. It's small, but cleans well, and quickly. No dirt streaks, unless you sweep the opposite way to when you previously used it, or haven't emptied it. It can struggle on human hair, as the roller begins to tire with age. I wish they'd do replacement brushes for this model, because the sweeper body of the sweeper is still in perfect working order. I've had to buy new.

It does what it says on the tin but the handle, which comes in sections that are screwed together is not good. The thread on the sections does not align well. I was careful not to cross thread it. I sent the first one back because the sections kept falling apart when I was using it and have just received a replacement and I think the handle is going to be just as troublesome.

I have had one for years and find it great for general sweeping up, a friend happened to see me use mine for cleaning up some crumbs and asked to try it and loved it so i brought her one, she is very happy with how easy it is to use, how well it does the spot crumbs ect but also loves the fact its light and does not need charging

Terrible product. 4 pieces of rod that makes one but the end of each other doesn’t go tight in the rim hence causing to be loose and impossible to do its job.

The media could not be loaded. Hade högre förväntningar på denna produkt efter att ha hört så mycket lovpris om den. Skaftet kommer i 4 delar som skruvas ihop, men de passar ju inte. Först var det jättetrögt att få i den i gängorna och efter en dags användning så ramlar två av pinnarna av. Har försökt med alla medel att fixa problemet men det är omöjligt att få skaftet att hålla ihop. Honingången är alldeles för stor för hangängan, finns inget att greppa tag i. Dessutom så är hela skaftet böjt i en kurva. Själva borstdelen är ok, lite för mjuk borste kan jag tycka men den plockar upp ok på mattor, inte lika bra på mina laminatgolv där den glider/skrapar över smutsen istället för att rulla upp den. Hade det inte varit för skaftets oduglighet så hade den fått 3 stjärnor med hänsyn till priset.

It does a fair job clearning the floor BUT I think that it is poorly designed for two improtant reasons: (1) it is noisy - rollers and metal parts loudly say 'we are wrking here, you certainly would not be using this anytime someone in the house is sleeping or trying to watch TV, and (2) the rubber lining around it that is meant to protect the walls and furniture that it touches sticks to the wall as you apply pressure to get areas near walls clean (if that was plastic, it would probably not have been a problem. I didn't expect a dud from a brand like Bissell but sorry to say that it is.
