Family Tree

As a pre-school music teacher, I used this CD..a LOT! From babies to adults, Tom Chapin resonates with us all. The songs are entertaining and interactive, his voice pleasant to the ear. Tom introduces all types of music genres to children through the songs on this CD. Having not been a teacher in several years, and not having listened to this cd since then, I bought this for my grand daughters, ages 2 & 6 and had a wonderful time watching their faces light up as we sang along to all the catchy tunes! What I love about Tom Chapin, is that he doesn't sing "down" to children. This is a fabulous CD for children and adults and a great one to take on family car trips. I also received this cd from the seller ahead of the scheduled day.

This was a favorite album for car travel, near and far, so I needed to update from audiotape for the newest branch o' the family tree. It is also a favorite with school teachers. Amusing, life-affirming...Good Stuff that is timeless.

I read reviews from multiple sources before making this purchase. I was fairly confident I would not be disappointed. My little boy is a hard sell. Music is a very important part of his life because he spends most of his day in a wheelchair and listening is his greatest pleasure. He is particular and this time we were both rewarded. He absolutely loves this CD and I sing along while working in the kitchen with him at the table. Some of the songs are funny touching on issues kids can relate to. Some are soft and gentle. This is by far the best music we have in our library now.

Was a hit with my adult daughter brought back memories from childhood

My youngest daughter used to awaken with excitement each day and her first request was to have breakfast and listen to Tom Chapin. She learned every word to every song on several of Tom's CDs byt the ages of 2-3 years old. It was sweet to give this as a gift to my goddessgranddaughter this year for christmas and she loves it as much as my daughter did. Wonderful folk stylings, clever lyrics great sing along ability.

This was a favorite tape when my girls were little. I bought the CD for my new granddaughter. One of the best music CDs for children.

This is my all time favorite children's album - and having been a kindergarten / pre-school teacher for 20+ years, that is saying a lot! The title song is always a favorite, but every song on here is great! My class is doing two songs from this CD for our kindergarten graduation tomorrow ("Family Tree" and "Together Tomorrow") and the kids wanted to do several others. I had to draw the line somewhere! My own children (now ages 20, 11 and 9) still love this CD, too. This is really a winner! Strongly recommend!

Tom Chapin is outstanding. We've seen him in concert many times. My children, now grown, love his songs, and so do their children.
