Very nice book but...
I do have my reservations about it. Beautifully photographed and well displayed outfits which are imaginative and will attract any child. They even had the sense to use dolls which are currently fairly easily available from online retailers - I spotted a Kids 'n' Cats boy doll towards the end! However each outfit is designed for one size of doll - small, medium or large - which fits within a specific size range. In addition nowhere in my copy could I find any information about tension gauge and without this important piece of information it's rather difficult to get started. Many of the yarns will have to be substituted as they are not available in the UK. There is no way of knowing, especially with crochet patterns, that the designer is working with a standard gauge. Finally it's a pity, given that the patterns are each for one size of doll and not for all three, that the publisher didn't lay all the small, medium and large patterns together instead of jumbled up. It does make finding something to knit for the size of doll you have more difficult.Again, beautiful designs but not one of my top recommendations for purchase.

Variety of doll sizes
I had bought 2 18in. dolls for our granddaughters, and wanted to personalise them with some things I had knitted/ crocheted. Nice variety of styles and good tip son how to change the sizing.Instructions not always quite as clear as they might have been - i.e. would have helped if instead of saying what to do with certain stitches it had specified exactly how many were involved.

Difficult to understand
This book has some lovely patterns but I think you would need to be an experienced knitter to make them. I have not heard of the wool used so it will be *hit and miss* to decide how much wool you will need for each pattern. I am a very basic knitter and couldn't understand some off the abbreviations, or instructions.

pattern
Love the patterns but would have been nice to know you needed double pointed needles in advert

Beautiful book, with lovely projects in easy-to-follow instructions
Very well planned and accomplished book, full cover to cover with lovely projects with easy-to-follow instructions and fab full colour, full page pictures. Enough to make a grandma want to play with dolls again...Bought through World of Books (one of my fave, go-to 3rd part book sellers on Amazon), it arrived on time and is, as promised, in very good condition. Overall 5*, and both book and seller warmly recommended.

Bargain purchase. Different and trendy.
I really like the patterns. They are modern and can be easily tweaked to suit. I have recently learned to use circular needles, after decades using straight needles. I look forward to making some of the outfits it this book.

Lovely designs
The designs in this book are lovely, however the largest size comes up tight on a larger sized baby doll. The types of doll shown in the book are hard to come by in the UK. I also found that the instructions tended to assume a certain level of knowledge and experience of knitting and instructions were not always as clear as they could be. It was also disappointing that each design only gave instructions for one size doll and the suggestions as to how to alter patterns for other sizes were vague.

Great photos but complicated patterns
I bought this to find patterns for 18" dolls as it says but not all the patterns are written for this size. It has patterns for small, medium and large dolls but they are separate designs. I could probably adapt them to be fair but I expected each pattern to be written out for 18" dolls. I haven't tried anything but patterns look complicated as they assume quite a lot of knitting or crochet knowledge already. They have taken a lot of time dressing and posing the dolls but not spent enough time on the patterns in my opinion.
