It's the second day he's wearing this today, and as usual I gave him some toys and food and came out of my house leaving my facetime on with my macbook and iphone (which was why I knew he had separation anxiety). He normally would follow me to door and try to come out even if there were delicious food lying around at home, but this time he started eating food while I was coming out. Now that was the first surprise. He would then just eat it for 15 mins and didnt even notice that I wasnt around anymore. This product gets a lot of mixed reviews. I have a Jack Russell who is a rescue dog from our local council run kennals. She is our 4th Jack Russell so we know the breed very well. We have had her 2.5 years and she is only 4.5 year old. Fire works scare her and make her pant and tremble. We have tried building her a den in a cage for her own space, holding her and talking to her the reassure her, medication which she will not take no matter how hard we try and hide it in treats / food etc and adaptil plug in also. None of these have worked. This collar is the same does not do anything. When we were at the vets for a yearly booster we spoke with the vet who said to get the collar. Which she said should also help in trips to the vet. As she gets stressed going to the vets also. I think next year we will talk to the vet about them giving her medication to combat the way she gets. In my view its a waste of money but not all dogs are the same the way humans are all different. This may work as some reviews have said but it may not.
