Coiledspring Games SET - The Visual Perception Game (UK Edition)

We've had other Coiledspring games which have been very good. Sadly, can't say the same for this one.It's probably quite a good game, especially when players have a wide range of ages (eg kids + adults). However, the game it is badly let down by the inadequate instructions.The main section of the instructions is 6 lines of text written in long sentences which are very hard to follow. The concept is straightforward, but the instructions don't explain it clearly. We read them 4 or 5 times and were still struggling to agree what they meant. It needs many more examples of what makes a set and and what doesn't (and why).The instructions also contain errors and omissions. They state that with 12 cards in pay the odds of a set being present are 33:1 and with 15 cards in play it states the odds are 2500:1 - ie more cards give lower odds of a set??? The instructions omit to say how to proceed if a set isn't found with 15 cards in play.With a price-tag of £12 for a set of playing cards in a box, it's over-priced.Overall, very disappointed.

Great game, very addictive, gets brain cogs spinning. I bought it as a birthday present for my 7 year old boy, he required surprisingly little time to understand it, and then get good at it. Middle class pats on the back all round. A good way to get started with kids is to remove one of the categories - e.g. shading, and play with a reduced pack. As far as I can see, that is the main principle of the junior version of the game - you can achieve the same effect with this version.

It came in good time. There were no bumps and lumps on the packaging. And I love this painfully obsessive game...love it! Thanks

Fab game - much enjoyment for 5-55 year olds. Really compelling, and great for travel.

This is a brilliant game for the whole family. It’s too hard for my 5 year old, but my 7 year old and the rest of the family love it. Definitely a game the adults can enjoy as much as the kids.

I love this game... i took me way too long to figure out the rules... its actually really simple! I know a friend who plays this alot, shes in her 80's and i think its how she stays so sharp!

Brilliant game. This is our second copy of the game, so that we can keep one at my Mother in Law's for when we visit and one at home. And, just for info..... I'm the reigning champion in our house!!
