If they're really BPA Free then they should officially advertise them as such. **Q: what is the depth of this cover?** A: The depth of this product is such that it will only work with a shallow plate. Want to cover a bowl? There's no holes at the top and it'll be sitting on the bowl instead of on the microwave spinner, not venting anything. Oh, and it indents in the middle too for the handle. So get ready for it ALWAYS directly touching any of your food if the bowl or plate is higher than 2 inches. Super fun. **Q: Do they eventually break down and need replacing?** A: I’ve only had it since Christmas. It’s hard to pick up, though. Don’t really like it.
