An improved, larger-format edition of the Cambridge School Shakespeare plays, extensively rewritten, expanded and produced in an attractive new design. An active approach to classroom Shakespeare enables students to inhabit Shakespeare's imaginative world in accessible and creative ways. Students are encouraged to share Shakespeare's love of language, interest in character and sense of theatre. Substantially revised and extended in full colour, classroom activities are thematically organised in distinctive 'Stagecraft', 'Write about it', 'Language in the play', 'Characters' and 'Themes' features. Extended glossaries are aligned with the play text for easy reference. Expanded endnotes include extensive essay-writing guidance for 'The Tempest' and Shakespeare. Includes rich, exciting colour photos of performances of 'The Tempest' from around the world. Review: Highly recommended! - The Cambridge School Shakespeare editions are extremely well presented and highly accessible, with Shakespeare's text printed on every right-hand page and a corresponding glossary of the unusual words on the left, along with a running synopsis and all kinds of extra activities to get students thinking about the play in more depth. If only we'd had these attractive editions when I had to learn Shakespeare at school back in the 60s! Review: Great for revision - Great for school, the play is always on the left hand page and notes about that section are always on the right, easy to revise from, also easy to make your own notes with pencil if you wish

The Tempest Cambridge edition
A great book to stage the given play. As a read, it has basic annotations but not all. The paper quality and print is also good.

Really well laid out
The new English translation posted on the opposite page to the original text is truly helpful. So is the commentary. Makes reading Shakespeare a truly enjoyable experience. Allows you to become truly immersed in the play. Well done!
