Good chanter, let down only by the reed supplied with it.I have since ordered a replacement so that should solve that issue.Lightweight and nice finish.

Rubbish and false description - when it arrived the label on the sealed bag said "GR26016 Glenluce Practice Chanter - Rosewood with Aluminium mounts. In Bflat. Complete with reed." Since when has that been an acceptable description for two pieces of moulded plastic?!

Great starter and taster for playing bagpipes for a complete beginner...
Bought this chanter just to pratise on holding and placing fingers while at work in my break period, I must say very impressed, plays almost the same notes as my African Blackwood chanter, finger holes placed in correct position, it's cheap but it is made from rosewood not the ideal wood if your serious on playing but as a complete beginner it does the job to get to grips on placing fingers and making the notes, the reed supplied was made well same as the chanter, not sure how long it would last might end up splitting due to moister build up but by that time you should be heading for a more expensive African backwood, great starter to start you off due to price and gives you an idear if you really wish to play bagpipes as takes a lot of commitment, I find this item great value for money........

Chanter itself is fine however the reed of the chanter was broken upon arrival. Looking at the comments left by others this seems to be a trend that the supplier should think about sorting.

Looks pretty
Arrived broken and never got round to sending it back. This means I can't play it so cannot comment on how it plays. A shame. Looks quite pretty though

Nice chanter
Good wood chanter, well made only thing that let it down was the reed which broke during it's first day of use.

ok im scottish and when i was just a young lad i always wanted to play the bagpipes so i had to learn the chanter first so i picked this one for a cheep price theres absolutely nuthing wrong with it just like every other chanter only thig i had to do was upgrade the reed for the chanter itself nd that was about the amount of 4 .50 for 1 single reed it does come with a reed but it was a ribbon one with beez wax all over it and it came apart when i was chainging it the chanter itself gives a grate sound to A & G well recommend this chanter for begginers rate this 10 --10
