A few weeks and I have not had a single seed sprout.
I tried the different ways to make these seeds sprout but so far I have not seen a single sprout and for a good while I had them in a damp paper towel so that I could check to see if there is any progress. I thought one looked like it had something coming out of the seeds when I put them in soil but it could have been mold and not a sprout because it has been a few weeks and so far nothing is coming up out of the soil. I only did half of them so this time I am going to try and nick the husk just a bit so that the moisture can get into the seed. I recall doing something like this on something else that I planted and it seemed to work well. But I will not upgrade the score unless I can get at least one to sprout.

Seeds are great
I read the reviews on this product after I bought them, so I was disappointed. I am glad I read the reviews after, as I would not have purchased the seeds. I was determined to figure a way to get the seeds to grow, so I googled how to germinate the seeds. This search produced a bunch of ways to get them to germinate, so I tried this tried and true method. I damped a paper towel and put the seeds in between the moist towel and in a ziplock bag. The next day I checked the seeds and rubbed a layer off of the seeds...the paper towel will become brown. I changed the paper towel with a new one, and in a few days the towel will become green. I noticed that after 5 days of starting this process I have the first sign of a root. The key is to keep the bag & towel moist and get a little bit of direct sunlight each day. I start all of my seeds this way including blood orange seeds. I hope this review gives you hope that you can grow a coffee tree/bush...or how ever many you want.

To slow to grow
After reading what I had to do to raise this plant I became very disappointed. When I read about how little coffee I could grow and the amount of time needed I should have read more before purchasing it. The ad was very honest and the review by others were honest when they said "If you can wait long enough it makes a very attractive house plant". The price was low enough that it was worth the trial.

Buy an established plant.
It may be me, but I'm pretty good with plants and seeds, and all mine rotted to mush. I have never grown any coffee, so maybe I did it wrong but Ive never had any problems with any other type of plant or seeds where ALL my seeds rotted away. One thing I didn't like is it didn't come with any recommendations besides to look on line on how to start the seeds. Keep in mind I work with plants a lot and I've also learned from a man that is a Professional horticulturist. If these seeds really are that hard to start I recommend buying a established plant or buy hundreds of seeds to try and get a few to grow
