Exactly what is says it is. 100 alphabets in capital and lower case
I bought this after doing a lot of research on calligraphy books. This has one hundred alphabets in both capitals and lower cases. There is a good introduction and explanation albeit short. You will need to trace or photocopy the pages and there is no practice pages with it.I am very happy to have so many alphabets to practice and a smidge disappointed it has not as much explanation as I would like but.... don’t let that put you off as that is a personal preference. There is adequate explanation and information for beginners and intermediates.I have given it 5 stars as it is exactly what it said it was ...100 alphabets which is very helpful. It is my own personal preference which is that of wanting to have my cake and eat it that makes it not exactly perfect.

Not quite 100
Nice book - the most complex of the "complete alphabets" is a single letter which is a little annoying but a good range of styles. "Selector" section at the start with abc in the style makes it really easy to find what you're looking for.

For every Calligrapher
Smaller in size than you might think, but is spiral bound inside the cover, so actually really sturdy.Loafs of different fonts to master using different types of pens/brushes. Gives you all the info you'll need like the angle to hold the pen at, key points for letters that might be trickier, and arrows along each letter to show you what order and direction to draw each line in to form the letters.A really good purchase if you're trying to get into lettering but find yourself a bit lost as to what fonts to try.

Useful ring-bound style. Handy size that could easily fit into a bag.
The book had been highly recommended to me by several others learning the art of calligraphy. It is very clear, it is colourful and it's instructions are easy to understand and follow. It is clearly written and that it has a chunky ringbinding means it is easy to keen open on any page without splitting or having to weight down the book spine , whilst working. I'm very pleased with the purchase which arrived promptly.

Expected 100% better for a so called bible
Not a plaisant book. Boring. Book size is small, the pictures showing how to draw the letters are tiny. 100 alphabets but nothing special it just blend. Some chapters are so slim I don't even see the point to have them.No style. Definitely not a bible. I had a 60 page calligraphy workstation book with beautiful alphabet, simple exemples on to give more oomph to your calligraphy couple of easy borders when I was little girl that was more rich than this crap.

Great little book
I love everything about this little book. The detail, the amount of alphabets, the binding. The only thing I wish there was a bit more of is warm ups. It very lightly touches on warm up, but having done lots of reading it seems many caligraphers do a fair amount of warm up before writing and so I would like to have seen a bit more on that.

Recommended.
This was the book we were looking for. Many, many examples of calligraphic fonts, some eminently usable, one or two absurdly complex and involved, but mostly practical, usable material including very easy to read diagrams showing how the letters should be formed - up and downstrokes etc recommended for novices, and those who are a little further along. One thing, though: we paid under £10 for this and now look! More than £15.
