Phlebotomy Notes: Pocket Guide to Blood Collection (Davis's Notes) First Edition

I recieved my pocket guide today. I must say, it is a little smaller than I expected. It fits in my hand and I have small hands. Lol. But honestly, I love that it's that small. I can fit it in my scrubs perfectly. I had a "pocket" guide for another subject and it was a tight fit in my scrub and it stuck out which was always in my way so, I'd put it in my leg pocket. I wish that one was as small as this phlebotomy one. The price wasn't too bad. The material covered seems to be good, I only skimmed thru. So, I'll know more how useful it'll be for me. But so. Far so good. The only thing that would make it better is if the pages were on a more sturdier paper that would last longer. I feel that the pages can easily bend. But overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

The pocket guide is extremely useful - I will not lie but I thought it was going to be a tad bit larger; it is like one of those small spiral notebooks that old-school reports use in movies. Haha - do not let the size fool you, it is full of useful information. I am in a Medical Lab Tech course and phlebotomy is one of the subjects that is covered - so having this guide is useful.

Extremely help full! I never spilled on it but if I did completely water proof! Fits in my scrubs pocket.!

Good to update knowledge, but some things are out of date skill examples. Told that now we are not to palpate the vein. But I still get great advice for myself.

Start a new career after 48 years as a phlebotomist being a CNA for 30 years and front office for 18 years I decided to do it cuz I can work three days 12 hour shift or 16-hour shift and I'm done for the rest of the week so I can enjoy my life

The only thing about this it is a bit outdated but it does help on most of the information is still good.

This mini pocket guide includes everything you need to know about exam. I am only studying this book and Phlebotomy flash cards for the exam. I had just taken one phlebotomy review class from my college and after that when I got these two items for study, I saw it includes everything which the teacher at review class told us to study!

This is a wonderful resource for a new phlebotomist like me and the fact the it’s washable adds to the appeal because I can sanitize it throughout the day

This book is good for reference.The only concern is the print is small so if you wear glasses make sure you have them with you.

I think this is a helpful reminder to have in my Pocket.
