They are however the same. They are both Preston stems the core however is different. These stem cores are of the short, car, variety, not of the long spring type usually found in bike tires. The tool however is a great one to have in you box. It fixes just about every type of valve stem problem, from rethreading both inside and outside threads, valve core tool to r and r the core. It will even fix a crushed stem.
