Star Wars: A New Hope (Little Golden Book)

So that's a win for me!It's a good retelling of A New Hope, skipping over the more grown-up bits, eg. you don't see the fate of Uncle Owen & Aunt Beru from the film and no one gets shot or lightsabered in the Cantina! My three year old loves it and asks lots of questions about it when we read it, which is great as it shows she's really engaging with it.

I bought this for my 3 year old daughter and she really loves it. I like the way the story has been written to accommodate younger children without spoiling the feel of Star Wars. None of the major plot points have been omitted and it’s simple enough for my daughter to follow. The illustrations are great and she enjoys looking at them and asking Star Wars related questions.I’ve since purchased the empire strikes back and return of the Jedi on the strength of this book.I’m really looking forward to watching the films with her when the times right.This book is a great introduction to the Star Wars universe and I’d highly recommend it.

Good pictures, uses the same language as the film's. My son enjoyed it

We love the Little Golden Book series and this is no different. Gives the story of A New Hope in a way written well for small children and is beautifully illustrated

I wanted to introduce my 5 yr old daughter to Star Wars and this is a great introduction, a simplified child's version of the story. She loves it and now knows the story and main characters for when she eventually sees the film!

It's badly finished and glued together. It's hard to go through and it looks like a cheap copy of the Treasure Cove Stories collection.
