Bulky book with lots and lots of different 'ism' movements but the index is extremely difficult to work when looking for a specific artist or art movement. Because it is not user friendly I seldom use this book. A waste of money in this respect which is a shame because I think some of the text is quite well written.

Art timeline with dates and references if anyone interested in arts and its history. Also helpful if someone is doing Contemporary Art, this would help with Art timeline.

Very well written, volcabulary boosted by 23.2, art knowledge by 63.2.

It is comprehensive, clear to use with an academic pedigree. Useful and entertaining. I am supposed to seven more words here.
