First of all I like the nice box it came in. It gets assembled of the two parts reliably (unlike my previous one) and appears sturdy. When trying to fit my Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact I had an issue of the side "hand" depressing the phone's (power) button. I had to fix it by cutting part of the padding out to provide some allowance for the button. It holds firmly on the dashboard even with the arm fully extended, holds the phone reliably both vertically and horizontally. The (bottom) mount pad is sticky, so I have to keep the plastic cover it came with to store, but it does not leave any trace on the dashboard, which is very important! I have used it only two times so far, repeated installation is fine, I hope it remains like that.

Works brilliantly initially but the suction action stopped working. The sticky gel is good, but sadly not strong enough to hold the mount by itself. I've reluctantly replaced it with a CD mount version.The phone holder part is perfect though. Little prongs to hold the phone safely and curved arms to wedge the phone firmly in the holder. The soft release button is a nice touch too. It's just a shame the suction fails

I love this holder. As I have a vehicle with a large windshield and the dashboard is a bit further back than in many cars, having the extending arm is a joy! The phone (iPhone SE) is held firmly and I can confirm it stays in place even over rough terrain. The degree of movement available, once you have put your phone in the holder, is more than adequate and the construction seems sturdy enough. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a car phone holder with more reach than usual.

Initial impressions were very good - easy to adjust, sturdy, fairly compact. After a few months I noticed that it would jiggle around a little on rough road surfaces...slowly got a little worse but you could live with it. Then this morning went to the car to find it on the seat not on the windscreen, and after trying to reapply 3 times I gave up - the suction lever isn't applying enough force anymore to hold it to the windscreen via suction. Nothing's failed, it just looks like the spring or whatever the lever is acting on isn't strong enough anymore...not very good to fail less than a year in. Conversely the old Maplin cradle (similar price) we've got in the wife's car has been there for about 3 years.

Sturdy phone holder. Only criticism is that the back us a bit too high as I can't reach the finger print sensor when my phone's in the holder.

The item seems to be built very solid. The pad and arm are perfect! Only the side grips started to become asymmetrical after approx 10th use and now they do not properly hold the phone anymore. Sad really as this holder seemed to be perfect.

While driving after a few bumps usually need to readjust also my phone doesn't fit very nicely. :/. Although the clamp is adjustable I assume it may fit a lot of phones. Don't just expect it to be a perfect fit, as I did. Its a bit loose.
