These are absolutely the best gel knee pads I have ever purchased. The gel "padding" just does not wear out. It does not develop weak spots with extended use. I had the stitching that holds the cap piece on the body of the knee pad wear out long before there were any signs of the gel failing. I am using my third pair at this time, and they are the first thing I strap on in the morning due to bad knees, and I wear them every day at work. Don't spend your hard earned money on knee pads that will wear out in a few months. The last pair I had were as comfortable when the velcro straps finally failed after about 10 to 11 months, as the first time I put them on.
