Just the job
I have a small number of vinyl LPs that I need to transfer to my iPhone Music app. This unit seemed ideal and it proved to be so. I managed to transfer four tracks from the first LP on to an SD card which loadedly perfectly into the Music app my iMac. I started successfully to build up an 'album’ but then things went seriously wrong. The turntable refused to record anything more. After trying other brands of turntable and then getting a replacement Digitnow unit which similarly would not seem to record, I bought a new USB stick and tried again. Success! It seems that reformatting the media caused the problems. My advice is to buy a brand new USB stick or SD card and use it – straight from the packaging – exclusively for disc-to-MP3 transfer work and don't, under any circumstances, reformat it at any time.In my opinion, having tried other brands of turntable-to-MP3 units, the Digitnow is the best of the bunch. One of the alternative units transferred straight to computer, but I found the sound quality unacceptable. Another advertised MP3 encoding, but produced WAV files in mono!My advice for build quality, versatility of sound sources, and audio quality is to go with the Digitnow, drag your MP3 files in to the free (from app stores) Audacity app to 'top and tail’ edit them, but don't reformat your nice new USB/SD card.

revive vinyl to digital
Nice little machine, not great build quality but its good enough for what it cost.I transferred all of my old records to USB stick which was then copied into iTunes. Now the poor point...The sound although not fantastic is good enough for what I wanted to use it for but I returned the first one because the sound quality became awful after a long use of 8 hours of playing LPs onto USB. It music backing was OK but it sounded like the vocals where coming from another room. The same happened to the replacement unit so I planned to return that one as well on the following day but when trying it next day, all was well while I played my remaining LPs over the next 5 days, which leaves me to assume there is a heat related issue with the player.

Everything is really good. Buy this one!
Someone else says that you should look no further. I agree. This, for the money, is a fantastic buy. It's hard to find a fault. Sound quality is excellent. Very easy to use. Again, look no further.

terrible quality
ok so it's not expensive and you get what you pay for I suppose but still ...sound at full volume is just about equal to a phone at a pinch. the turntable works.... but you can only just get an LP to fit on it where the arm is sited. Sound is tinny as anything whether that's down to the speakers or the stylus quality or what I don't know but I know what that album sounds like on a turntable even after all these years and that is not it. UB40 - Many Rivers To Cross is not just Ali sounding like he's been kneed in the groin and a vague hum in the background ... you'd be forgiven for thinking so if this was the first time you heard it!I didn't even try the cassette player as I didn't trust it not to chew up the hubby's precious collectionThe dials on the front for volume are just too plastic for words but think a toy from a poundshop and take off a bit. You know , when you get a cheap toy with any kind of plastic twisty bit and you get that awful scuffy , scratchy noise .....yup! Made my neck retract like a tortoise! So just nope!

Great things come in small packages.
I have used DIGITNOW! products before and I'm always impressed by the quality. It's a great compact player. It's very easy to use and has great playability. It looks cool and sharp. The built in speakers, though not as powerful as I'd like, still make my vinyl records sound great. The equaliser on the remote has a number of pre-selected settings and it's just a case of finding which one is right for yourself.I haven't tried using the tape yet, nor the SD card slot or the USB thumb drive slot. But so far I'm really impressed.

Good value but needs external speakers
Brought this one as I dug out all of my old vinyls but didn’t want to spend too much on it. Has lots of features but most of these you probably won’t use. I can’t see the point in Bluetoothing your phone to it to play music from your phone when you have so many other bits of equipment (echo etc) to do this and have better sound quality. Like the idea of one touch recording vinyl onto USB stick. What let’s this unit down is the sound quality, a lot of the reviews said it was fine, it isn’t really. It is very “tinny” I am lucky I have been able to connect to my home cinema system and put it on high bass setting and this makes it bearable. If I hadn’t had this I would have sent it back.On the whole this is good value for money, but I would suggest that unless you have some sort of external speakers to connect it to you will be disappointed with the sound

Record ,tape deck
The unit was fine, it played ok its sound reproduction was as it would have been back in the days of tape s, not brilliant but ok, it is not an expensive item after all. We do have a problem with the tape deck packing up after a month and it is a complicated process to get the thing returned as it was two days over the return date!,,
