Great little speaker for practice level volume
Photo shown is not the 118. It's the next one up. 118 has a leather type handle. However, that's irrelevant. The speaker is great. Well built and sounds great with the Blackstar HT1RH. Just picked it up today and really happy with it. The Hayden site states its a Celestion Super 8 16 ohms. A number of sites also say it has a removable back. It's 8 ohms and the back is not removable. I only want to play at low levels and this is perfect for that, but also sounds great with the amp (1 watt) really cranked up. Amazed that no one has written a review before. May be looking to get the 1x12 later, but this is perfect for practice levels. Originally bought an HT1R combo, but that had to go back due to the amp vibrating/resonating with the strings. Bought a separate head and cab to prevent this. However, it cost £89 quid extra, so wondered what the difference would be between a built-in speaker and a separate cab. The cab is far Superior, and coupled with a good speaker cable is well worth the money.
