Bought for my husband as a commuter bag. Smells great when you take off the packaging - very leathery! This is a lovely vintage style satchel, however the strap for the shoulder is a little problematic. It is designed like a belt buckle, so you thread it through to get the length strap you want, but there are no holes in the strap for the buckle so you have to make your own, not what I would have expected from such a lovely looking bag of this value. Once you have punched a hole and threaded the buckle, you will find that the buckle sits right on your shoulder which could get uncomfortable, and the protective pad does not fit over the buckle so is a bit redundant. Also the bag is initially very very boxy and quite large, I believe this will soften with use, but as the bag is still new can't guarantee it.

Absolutely stunning messenger bag, plenty of compartments both inside and out. Very well made, sturdy and beautiful lining. We are astonished it only cost the price it did. Long adjustable straps. Don't hesitate to buy. You won't regret it.Editing this after a month of use:It's too heavy and doesn't seem to like rain. Stunningly beautiful bag but impractical for everyday use if you commute for example. Spotchy green/black patches on it after walking home with it in rain too. Disappointing.

Came stinking but eventually settled down. Strap has stretched and the rivots have pulled out of strap. Still usable but i think the strap will go soon. Will have to try to fix myself. Still it was cheap and everything else about it i love.

Just what I need to keep my laptop safe. I love the smell of the leather and the oil used to keep it supple.

I haven't given a high rating due to the following reasons. I thought the bag looked a really lovely unisex satchel in genuine leather (although genuine, I'm not sure from what) and really looked forward to receiving it.I gave benefit of the doubt about the 3.5 stars as more people complain than give compliments.It was not suitable for me as it was too big and too masqueline (It also does have a unique smell).I kindly asked for a return and the 1st response was what was wrong with it. I said it was not suitable due to it being more of a man bag and would like to return it.They came back offering me a smaller bag and told me not to return the bag originally requested.I said thank you, but it's not suitable and I'd like to return it and again the asked why. IT IS NOT SUITABLE! After repeating myself for a further 3 messages.I now know I will not be getting my refund. As I do not want the bag. I will donate to charity. I'm really disappointed with the service.If you are definately sure you want this bag, then go ahead.

3stars for comfort because any bag of this size is going to be heavy in use. This is exceptional value for money and I fully expect to be using this for years
