The product delivered what it said but after I purchased it I noticed that there are iPhone apps that do pretty much the same thing (as I need it for) but at no cost.

I bought this to compliment my existing sound level meter which is calibrated annually and it works a treat.When tested at exactly 80db with my externally calibrated meter, this one gave a reading of 79.9db which is well within it's 1.5db resolution as stated on the packaging. So top marks for accuracy!The side is rubberised so easy to grip being used out in the field, being 'A' weighted is what we use - not having the option to change this is actually a good thing as stops accidental changing of the weighting and distorting the measurements which have to be recorded accurately.Supplied with a battery, so ready to use straight out of the packet and also a foam windshield on the end. I have used a small piece of double sided sticky tape inside so the foam doesn't get lost :)

I ordered this to measure the level of noise generated by my car, prior to doing a track-day. The meter proved to do exactly what I bought it for, a great little device for not a lot of your hard-earned cash!In terms of set-up, you don't need to do much at all. Plug in the battery that's supplied with the device, hit the power button and you'll see the device measuring straight away. There are some good functions on the meter, one being the ability to read the maximum and minimum levels of noise when measuring - simply hold the max/min button for a couple of seconds and the meter will measure the two extremes.All in all, a great little meter!

The meter does not discriminate low levels of noise and is stuck flicking between 33 and 39Dbeven when there is a noticeable decline in noise level .So it is not finely tuned to register quiet ambient room noise.For example you wont get a 15 Db read-out when a room is very still.It will show 33 to 39 Db .If you speak it shows 66Db which is the correct range for talking in a room.if you clap it shows 81Db. I do not believe it goes much higher.It is not suitable for quiet assessment but it does work fine to show loud increases in the ambience.

The cadrim sound meter is very easy to use, has a great range, easy to understand the readings.Not too bulky has a greay function to store the sound readings, a great product if always wanted to know any noise level around you.

Very good price.I needed a meter and expected to pay a lot more. Well-made and easy to use. Battery supplied.Have had email from vendor confirming that it does NOT need calibrating! Instructions say it does but I had no idea how..Only puzzle is how do I check that it is accurate? I have no yardstick - unless I buy another one! Bit of a "Catch 22" there.Having said that, it seems well-made and I have no reason to doubt the accuracy..

Das Gerät kam ordentlich verpackt (Blisterverpackung) und inklusive einer 9V Batterie bei mir an.Die Bedienungsanleitung ist in englischer Sprache gehalten, was aber für mich völlig in Ordnung ist.Ich habe mehrere Messungen an unterschiedlichen Orten durchgeführt und jeweils mit einem wesentlich höherpreisigen Gerät verglichen.Die Messungen wichen erstaunlicherweise relativ minimal ab, wobei das Messgerät immer zwischen 0.4 und 0,8 unter den Werten des anderen lag.Super praktisch finde ich die Möglichkeit den max und min Wert per Tastendruck zu kontrollieren. Hiermit bieten sich messtechnisch gute Möglichkeiten, eine einfache, Aufzeichnungsreihe zu gestalten.Helfen kann dabei auch die Hold Taste.Das Display ist für mich auch ohne Brille sehr gut ablesbar, da es grosse Zahlen darstellt.Ein kleiner Minuspunkt wäre die teilweise doch sehr hohe Empfindlichkeit des Gerätes - man sollte zwar meinen, das wäre gut für eine Messung, es kann jedochbei "schnellen Messungen" zu Fehlern kommen, wenn sich der Finger auf der Geräte-Oberfläche bewegt.Ich würde daher empfehlen, ein kleines Stativ zu Messung zu benutzen.Eine entsprechende Schraubaufnahme istauf der Rückseite des Gerätes angebracht.Alles in allem kann ich dieses Schallpegel Messgerät absolut empfehlen.Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist hervorragend. Das Gerät ist gut verarbeitet und macht das was es soll sehr gut.Windschutz und Stativaufnahme sowie die einfache Bedienung und das gut ablesbare Display macht es zu einem rundherum guten Kauf.

Looks good, seems to work good, I needed the item for basic indications so unsure about it's accuracy but seems to be good.There is no indication on the buttons regarding the backlight feature so if you are like me and will be confused why it flashes on then off when you power it up, it is because you need to HOLD the "hold" button to activate it.Good value for the price.
