On a cold, dark winters night, in late December 2011, Gary McGeown went out for a six mile training run after work,as part of his build up for a running/ assault course type event being held in the UK. Unfortunately for Gary, this time he pulled a hoodie from the closet that didn't have a zip on the front pockets. Fast forward to 45 minutes later, as Gary now well cooled down from his run, walks the streets of Armagh city, retracing his steps, looking for his car key that bounced out of his pocket..never too be found. The problem that Gary became acutely aware of that night, and one experienced by many runners, is that typical running apparel provides inadequate and unreliable storage for runners essential items when running. After that, Gary looked hard looked at products already on the market, but was unable to find a running belt that comprehensively suited his needs, and the needs that he perceived as being typical to all runners, those being : - a running belt that firmly attaches your keys inside the pouch/ storage compartment to ensure that your keys are safe secured inside your running belt, - a running belt that is elasticated and adjustable, and is therefore suitable for being worn either close to the body during warmer months, or over a hoodie or sweat top when it is cooler, and can be shared between different sized users, - a running belt that is easy to use with no cumbersome zips, especially during those cold winter months, when your fingers can be numb, - a running belt that will snugly grip your cash, cards and others esentials closely against your body while running, ensuring that they remain safely on your person and do not bounce or jiggle when training, - a running belt that is soft and comfortable to wear and does not chafe, rub or roll up when training, - a running belt that is appropriately sized to easily fit all smart phones, cell phones, iphones, samsungs and all others, and so much more..
