Featuring an ergonomic pistol grip made from durable fiberglass-reinforced plastic and manufactured to stringent EU standards, it offers professional-grade performance with next day delivery to keep your workflow seamless. ## Description Electricians normally use several tools for different types of cable such as round, coaxial and data cable: the requirements of wire stripping differ too much to contain them in one tool. At least that has been the case until now. With the KNIPEX ErgoStrip, a number of tools can be left in the tool bag during instalation work. This universal dismantling and wire stripping tool makes it possible to dismantle and strip all standard cables in modern house wiring with a few hand movements and without changing tools. The functional versatility of the universal dismantling and wire stripping tool lies in its design. The two-shell pistol handle design has made it possible to integrate several functions – and the ErgoStrip also sits extremely well in the hand. The ends of the tool are tapered at the front, thereby permitting space-saving dismantling work in flush mounted sockets. Markings inside the tool permit accurately repeated stripping of single conductors and dismantling of coax cables. A simple twist movement when dismantling and stripping, or a straightforward slit in the case of long dismantling distances, and the desired result is achieved. The preparatory work before wiring on a terminal box, distribution box, power or network sockets, can be carried out accurately and in a time- saving manner using the KNIPEX ErgoStrip: slits on the cable to dismantle longer sections, dismantling deep in surface and flush mounted sockets to leave the minimum sheathing required; stripping single conductors and – very important in today’s house wiring – the dismantling and stripping of coaxial cables for satellite and cable networks as well as data cables for home networks (LAN). ## Features - Next Day Delivery - Manufactured to EU Standards ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Asin | B01BPW2C6Q | | Best Sellers Rank | 3,562 in DIY & Tools (See Top 100 in DIY & Tools) 6 in Crimpers | | Brand | KNIPEX | | Colour | Red | | Country Of Origin | Germany | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (9,402) 4.7 out of 5 stars | | Cutting Width | 0.8 Centimeters | | Eu Spare Part Availability Duration | 1 Years | | Global Trade Identification Number | 04003773079927 | | Grip Type | Pistol | | Handle Material | Plastic | | Included Components | Components Included | | Item Dimensions L X W | 25.4L x 9.4W centimetres | | Item Type Name | ErgoStrip Universal Stripping Tool 135mm | | Item Weight | 0.44 Grams | | Manufacturer | Knipex | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | No manufacturer guarantee. | | Material | Housing made from sturdy, fibreglass reinforced plastic | | Model Number | 16 95 01 SB | | Number Of Items | 1 | | Part Number | 16 95 01 SB | | Set Name | Universal | | Specification Met | VDE | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | | Upc | 732454194935 | | Usage | Commercial and domestic use | ## Product Details - **Brand:** KNIPEX - **Colour:** Red - **Handle material:** Plastic - **Material:** Housing made from sturdy, fibreglass reinforced plastic - **Product dimensions:** 25.4L x 9.4W centimetres ## Images ![Ergostrip Universal Stripping Tool for Right-Handers, 135 mm, Round Cable, Coax Cables, Data Cables, Wire Stripper, 16 95 01 SB - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61Oj1ZakzSL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size Name, Style Name** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Will this work on Alarm cable?** A: Yes it will, it is a great tool for most cable and wire! **Q: Will this tool strip T&Earth cable?** A: It won't work on flat cable. **Q: Will this strip BT dropwire cable (outer sheath)?** A: Yes it does the job as far as I know **Q: What is the different between this ergo strip and the 01 version** A: 01 is right handed 02 is left I do believe! ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ You toolbox will thank you for this tool *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 1 June 2026* I purchased this for my work tool bag as I’m a mobile engineer, a few of my colleagues have them, they are on the slightly expensive side for being small and mostly constructed of plastic, but you are paying for the reliability of the brand knowing its Knipex, you know its made well, made to work and last, so far (Earley days) its handled everything I’ve thrown at it so far. It is one of those tools that’s “nice to have” not needed but it will 100% make your life easier if you know how to use it.
