Good machine - BUT KNEAD KNEAD KNEAD
The product is all metal parts - sturdy and once clamped to the worktop doesn’t move.It takes a few run throughs to get the dough correct - what we’ve found is you need to knead until it’s near enough dry before putting it anywhere near the machine. If you (like we did first time around) put the dough in slightly sticky - it becomes a nightmare to get all the sticky dough out and you’ll have to leave it to dry before it’ll come loose.Overall a wonderful machine - but takes a few attempts to get right but once you’ve got it? Brilliant results every time and I can’t fault the machine itself, only the human operating it.

Makes nice pasta. Clamp needs improvement!
MY OPINION:Fairly heavy duty machine.Rolls out pasta well - however ensure the dough is well floured prior to rolling. I also sprinkle flour over the rollers before rolling the dough to ensure its all covered. This helps to make the clean up process much easier.I clean up using a dry cloth or kitchen paper towel and holding it form against the rollers while rolling. (Don’t roll the towel or paper through!!!) You can also use a pastry brush especially with the under side to remove any flour or dough pieces.MUST DO:Make some dough that is not intended for eating to prime the machine on very first use. Ensure the doughy comes into contact with every part of all roller sections as much as possible. (Roll through multiple times in each area). This is because the small shards of metal need to be removed as the machine is brand new. Once you’ve done this you’ll have no issues with metal in your food.AREA FOR IMPROVEMENT:The clamp design could be better.I find it doesn’t have the best/easiest grip mechanism and can also damage your worktop as the flat panel doesn’t lie flat and digs in underneath! I tend to have to use an old towel and a wedge in between the counter and the clamp.

Fantastic little piece of kit
It's so simple in design and to use, yet it's become one of the best ways to make our favourite pasta dishes x1000 times better. I cannot recommend this enough, the dry-cleaning is super easy, use of the roller and cutters is even easier (sufferers of stuff joints or atheritis would be totally fine) and its a good price when you compare to other brands which give you the same thing but at a higher cost.Only thing I'd say is to check you've properly secured it or it will move around. We have to open a lower cupboard door to clamp it properly, so if you're worried about flour getting into lower cupboards then I've found bunching a towel around the clamp and lower door is enough to deal with this.Bonus- its quite small and fits into our crammed cupboards nicely!

Amazing little gadget, but difficult to clean
I used this in combination with my sage custom load bread maker to make pasta. It's a great little device that not only works well, but looks amazing on my kitchen unit too. You just need to make sure you follow the instructions properly when trying to make pasta for the first time, or you'll be disappointed. Just ensure you do the following and you'll be fine:1. Always start on the widest setting when passing the dough through, reducing the thickness each time. Don't just go for the desired thickness straight away or your dough will be full of holes.2. Always coat your dough in flour before each pass through the machine3. Always use a big pan with lots of water, otherwise the pasta will come our starchy and will stick together. The only downside to this gadget is that it's very difficult to clean. There are lots of little gaps that are very difficult to get into. It's mostly just flour that can be wiped off with a dry piece of kitchen roll, but it would be handy if some of the parts were detachable in order to aid with the cleaning.Overall I'm very happy with my purchase. There's something really satisfying about making your own pasta. Would recommend this product.

You get what you pay for
I bought both this one and a second brand (double of the price). You can feel the difference in the quality. It’s not a bad product per se, it’s good if you just approached the pasta world and you are experimenting and trying but the built of this pasta maker feels a bit flimsy.

I bought this when it was half price...
...and have eaten so much pasta since. Super easy to use, no issues cleaning it, some bit sof dough got a bit stuck in it but they just fell out once they had fully dried.Regarding bits of metal in the pasta that other people have mentioned, it does say in the instructions to roll a bunch of dough through it before you make a batch to eat and it took quite a lot of dough before it started coming through clean, but it's been fine since then. I've used all settings and all are fine... and vis a vis the pasta getting pulled to one side - I think I have noticed this very slightly but it's easy to correct for by just realigning the pasta with your hand, I hardly notice myself doing it.
