Can increase the water temperature with approximately 3-5 celsius degrees (depending on weather condition). Easy to drain, easy to store. Simple hook up, compatible with filter pump flow rate less than 5,678 litres / hour (1,248 gallons / 1,500 US gallons) . 1 square meters (11 square feet) surface to absorb the sun's rays. Constructed of heavy duty UV stabilized PVC. Suitable for above ground pools up to 8,000 US gallons (30,280 litres). Dimensions flat, before fill 47"""" x 47"""" (120cm x 120cm). Includes 1.25"""" (32mm) hose attachment points, 1 adaptor A and B for 1.5"""" (38mm) hose connection, 0.5m (1.25""""/32mm diameter) connecting hose, Bypass valve. Tip :- To get the maximum heat out of the mat, just crack the valve open slightly (not full on) so there is just a slow trickle through the mat. This gives the water a greater chance of warming up before entering back in to the flow at the end of the mat. If you have the valves fully open the water will pass through the mat much faster and not gain much heat. Also it will put maximum pressure on the micro pipe running around the mat which can contribute to blowing the mat.""" ## Features - 1m x 1m surface to absorb sun's rays Dimensions before filling 1.20m x 1.20m. - Includes 32mm hose attachment points and 2 B adapters for use with 38mm hoses - Simply attach to a filter pump up to 1/3 hp or pump flow rate less than 2,000gph (7,570L/h) - Eco-friendly Solar technology that increases the temperature of the pool water by approximately 3-5deg depending on the size of pool and weather conditions. - Suitable for above ground pools with a capacity less than 30,280L (8,000gals). After I had brought my 9ft pool, I was relying on the bestways pool heater, when I suddenly saw warnings of them blowing up and melting peoples electrics and plug sockets I panicked!I found these mats and decided to give them ago, not expecting much!Well... I have to disconnect it some days from my filter, during this heatwave it's making the water so warm, it's like a luke warm bath by late afternoon!5 stars for this product! It's certainly does the job, don't know how well it would work on a cool day, and my garden is south facing also, but bearing in mind it costs nothing as its solar powered, brilliant 😀 ### ⭐ Terrible *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 7 June 2025* I had high hopes after reading the reviews. It made perfect sense that these should work. I bought two mats. Our pool is fairly modest (8ft circular). I set up as per the instructions, nice sunny spot:Issue 1 - the flow rate was non existent, our filter/pump isn't the strongest so bought a 800 gal/ph thinking this would solve the issue. It didn't, pump on its own was very powerful but as soon as you put it through the mats you couldn't even feel it on the return hose to the pool.So I sent that one back and got an evening more powerful one (1000 gal/ph) but the same issue. Could just feel it coming through but the flow rate was pathetic. Slowing the water down that much I'm sure would eventually destroy the pump.Issue 2 - this is linked the the first issue, the mats won't stay flat, they bunch up causing kinks.Issue 3 - even once I had them fairly flat and a trickle of flow going through them on a warm sunny day with them in full sunlight for hours it made no difference. Not sure if I had a bad batch but I certainly wouldn't buy again.Gave up in the end and sent them back. Very disappointed. Going to have to resort to good old electric heater ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Makes all the difference! *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 10 January 2026* For the money, these actually made more of a difference that i expected - was sceptical at first. I purchased 2 & linked together. Measured temperature of water in the pool and the water returning into the pool (after passing through mats) and was up to 6/7 degrees Celsius hoter (on a 29 degrees c day). When you put your hand to the return outlet water was noticeably warm.Ultimately made all the difference. Meant my 3yr old and her mum weren't cold. Difference between them being in the pool & not.Fact that you can open/close valves on the mat(s) is good feature. Open to allow water to pass through & heat up during the day, and close at night so that you can run the filters. Good quality. Would purchase more if had the space but even 2 takes up enough. When hot day, mats can get very hot if valves are closed, please be aware. ## Frequently Bought Together - Intex 28685E 47 Inch x 47 Inch Solar Pool Water Heater Mat for 8,000 Gallon Above Ground Swimming Pool with Hose Attachment and Adaptors, Black - Pool Hoses for Above Ground Pools, 4 Pack 1.25 x 59 Inch Pool Filter Pump Hoses, Compatible with Intex Pool Filter Pump 607, 637 With 8 Metal Clamps(4) - TidyMister Pool Hose Adapter Connector Coupling 1-1/4" or 1-1/2" Plastic Pool Vacuum Hose Adapter for Swimming Pool Vacuums, Cleaners or Filter Pump Hoses - 2 Pack --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/48263465-intex-28685-pool-ecofriendly-solar-heating-mat-includes-32mm-hose](https://www.desertcart.be/products/48263465-intex-28685-pool-ecofriendly-solar-heating-mat-includes-32mm-hose) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
