Although i've done quite a bit of plumbing over the years, I had a persistent problem with a leaky tap connector after my new bathroom suite was fitted, tighten it as I might.After undoing the nut of the compression joint, a smear of this compound around the olive, and then retightening with a basin wrench, did the trick for a couple of quid!Only downside is it's a bit of a b_gger to get off your hands (white spirit worked)recommend.

This stuff looks and behaves like a high quality clear silicone, with very good adhesion, and it sets quite firmly. The pack gives advice on what do do if you can't stop the water pressure by turning off stop tap or radiator valves, but any product of this type will struggle while soft if water under pressure is trying to force its' way through. Better than plumbers putty for any small fiddly repair where adhesion is important. I've just ordered a spare tube!

Despite what it says on the box it does not seal a wet pipe with a tiny drip after 3 attempts. It's not much more than a tube of UHU. Maybe OK to fix a hose pipe, otherwise do a proper repair or get a plumber! Not worth 2.99.

Had a tiny teardrop leak at a towel radiator applied the stuff a per instructions just did not work .Not too expensive so worth a go but no good on this occasion.
